I'm going to wait until the middle of the summer to play this game. I'm not going to activate my 30 days until Zenimax has had some time to get its teeth out of Bethesda's throbbing jugular, let Bethesda finish the game properly and fix all the bugs, balance issues, bots, etc.

I was really excited for launch but Zenimax failed to deliver to Amazon on time, and Amazon can't get it to me when they don't have the item in stock. So all the time I set aside for TES Online has been spent playing TES Forums, which is some sort of crappy free minigame.

For anybody sick of the bugs and wanting to give this game a fair shot without all the launch-failure-BS and the pervasive, game-breaking bugs, if you haven't registered your 30 days yet, just wait and do it later. That's still a part of the terms of use they haven't changed. You get your 30 days whenever you choose to start playing. I'm going to be busy in May and June anyway. Anybody considering this option besides me?

And after those 30 days, I'll probably cancel -- assuming it's not already F2P by the end of July, lol.

launch failure is Diablo III and Simcity. Where pretty much most people were incapable of playing for days on end, on a solo game, no less. yes this game has issues with people not receiving their stock but for those that did get it (or online) are playing a mostly stable MMO on launch week. Yes downtime was required, that's hardly news for the genre. yes there are bugs (some worse than others) but that is hardly a foreign thing to the launch of an MMO and an ES game.

I wish people like yourself all the best, because it would be nice if this forum was full of people reporting their real issues clearly and devs can find them through the mess of people screaming "I want a refund" or the like, which I should also add is another MMO standard thing during launch week. Oh wait did I just complained myself about a standard MMO launch week issue. That just makes me bad as the others :pensive:

...you do realize that Bethesda had nothing to do with this game right?

That explains the giant Bethesda logo at the beginning of the game. Dipsh*t.

First of all, I'm glad other games have bugs but other games also have people who complain about the bugs. By that measure, next time a cruise ship capsizes they can just point to the Titanic and the Costa Concordia and say "well, that's what ships do."

And, in case you didn't notice, many of us are indeed unable to play for days on end -- the more expensive the version of the game you bought, the longer you wait.

And if you're such a whiney baby about people clogging up this part of the forum with non-technical customer service issues, maybe they shouldn't have every other section of the forums on lock-down. Dummy.

I think I'm with you on this. At this point my frustration from broken quest pales in comparison to the way a majority of this game is designed. It seems to be having a terrible time merging Elder Scrolls gameplay into the mmo genre. From bugs, to balance, dungeons, loot, user interface, right down to the most basic quality of life issues, this game is far behind any modern mmo on the market.

I really think the "Role Player" options, or whatever the were called, being cut from the game before launch is the real killer. Launch problems will be driving people away, but even if I hold out, after 2-3 months if there's still just a hoard of people swarming bosses when I am trying to play quests, I'm just going to update Skyrim, get some DLC and mods, and try to make that fun again instead.
