Every single aspect of "Spell Recharge", from its name to its numbers and its functions, everything, even its function on the oddball stam Altmer, is a case study in abject failure. It is a "good" passive for a few niche builds, and that's it. It's absolutely useless in PvE, and too low to make an actual difference in PvP (aside from one obvious way to break and abuse it... can't wait). In PvE, it's a totally wasted slot that makes Breton the superior alternative for most content and roles since they pull near-identical DPS and have better resistances and easier playstyle.

Blocking rolling or running from mechanics are actually import so getting that resource back so you know you don't actually die to mechanics is pretty good. You can't do damage when you are dead just saying.

Come on guys. Everyone knows Stamina is the most important stat for a mag build. It allows you to dodge, sprint, block, run Stamina weapons and abilities and most importantly sneak. It also makes your Stamina bar bigger. Bigger!!! Everything a mag build needs. In fact Altmer is currently the worst mag race because it has so little stamina passives. Anyone running Altmer before getting these Stamina passives was obviously picking the wrong race to begin with. That is why every mag Meta build is Redguard right now. Clearly you'll want Bosmer after the update. All the dodging and blocking and sprinting you could possibly need to perform a magicka based role. . Mag race # 1. Unbelievable levels of ignorance about this on the forums. Finally Altmer can be considered for a mag build by serious players. Finally. All they needed was that Stamina boost. Thank you ZOS. Thank you Class Reps. Thank you well meaning players. Thank you for finally adding the Stamina passives to the worst mag race in the game. They can now finally be lore friendly. Hallelujah!!

God you're an idiot. Stam regen stops when you block. Bosmer can't be top mag race. They can only sprint and dodge so it won't be better at mag than Altmer. You have no idea what you're talking about - its balanced. The Orcs will be top mag race - they have SOOO much Stamina and because their physical attacks do so much damage they won't be needing to spend any magicka on skills at all. So they can sprint and dodge and block and use Stamina instead of Magicka. They will be OP magicka race come next patch - Meta in fact. L2P noob. Altmer are fine, maybe a bit of a Stamina regen boost and maybe replace Magicka with Max Stam and they will be on par with the Orcs.

Every character already has more than enough stam and stam regen for blocking, rolling, and running in PvE already built in without any additional investment, and those who feel like they need more already have several tools available to get it without gimping everyone else in the process. No, stam regen is absolutely NOT important for endgame PvE.

Nah it was an uncreative way to balance altmer DPS. That doesn't follow lore.

It just helps if players want to be stam or hybrid. But hey let the Meta still continue the game will get boring if players can’t make interesting builds cause it ain’t viable.

Yeah actually this passive helps my toon but it just doesn't make sense for altmer to have it.

Show me one source in the lore that states Altmer might not have anything Stamina related. Granted, there might be no source that favours a Stamina passive either but in the end it's neither pro nor contra Altmer lore and in that regard totally fine. Higher fire damage for Dunmer was also nowhere in the lore and still players loved it.

Show me one source that it does not counting this.

Maybe you are right. Altmers should get a straight 10% extra elemental and magic damage received, instead of that useless stam sustain. You know, for lore purposes!

No but could of did something more creative in line with lore and balance.

Lore means nothing for the simple fact that it is an imaginary world that doesn't really exist. Therefore anything stated about this world is true.

Not that I am against your specific statement I am just getting tired of these lore arguments and your post was the last trigger.

To everyone that keeps saying that the stam regen is to small to be worth while need to really look at the numbers instead of just assuming. 645 stam every 6 seconds is the same as 215 added to their stam regen number they see on their character sheet. For most magicka characters that is somewhere between a 20% increase to almost 50% increase in stam regen. There is no way that is insignificant.

    Still useless.

I can agree the passive will be completely useless for me, not just in PvP, but even on my experimental hybrid templar in PvP. Mag return was only good because of the gear that also returned mag, and because of other skills that returned mag like Honor the Dead.

I honestly thought it would be scrapped and replaced with something better instead of nerfed, but meh. What a worthless passive. I'd rather have 1000 health.

For PVE an actual and good example where you need much stam is when you get hit by a creeper in vCR.
Now if there a two creeper and unluckily hit you successively or you get the bug, you have to dodge 2,3 or 4 times in a row.
Through to the mechanic you can't use skills in this time.
=> Spell Recharge is absolutely useless.

If you wanna play magicka then take dunmer or breton.

How do they come up with this crap lol. Now I don’t run Altmer. I run a dunmer MagDk (DW/Destro) and folks were saying race change to Altmer a while back. For WHAT. LOL.
