Unable to put treasure maps from Explorer's pack in bank

For my first character, I accidentally clicked the confirmation button before customizing his appearance. So I have this bland uninspiring character that I don't really want to play. But, I had read the item about not deleting the character in order to avoid losing the items it had received, so I kept this character and created a second one as I liked.
I played the first character until I reached the banker Lurgonash gro-Dugronk in Port Hunding, and deposited the vanity pets and the Pledge of Mara in the bank. However when I try to deposit any of the four treasure maps in the bank I get a message "You can't do that now". Only 5 of 60 bank slots are full, so it's not clear to me why I can't deposit the maps. I have no intention of playing the first character any further. I just want to use the bank to transfer items to the second character, who will actually use them.
Am I missing something obvious or is this bugged?

LouisCyphierSoul ShrivenTurns out I was missing something, but a little less than obvious. The maps you receive in the Explorer's Pack are actually containers for maps. You can open the containers and move maps from the containers to your inventory and then to the bank, where your other character can retrieve them.

Lord_Tonjin✭✭Takes up a lot of space. so if you plan on doing a lot of crafting like I did, only open on container for the main area you are working in.
