Continuing for sure! There are somethings I want to see sorted out first before I decide on making long-term subscriptions, but on a month-to-month basis, I plan on subscribing.

This game is incredible. I will gladly pay $15 a month. I would bet 90% of the people claiming they are leaving after the first 30 days will still be here. Zenimax knows its an idle threat.

Yeah that really is a shame. If bugs were stopping me from playing at all then I'd re-evaluate my position but luckily I've had minimal hiccups.

Don't be so confident, I said I won't renew and I really won't if they don't fix bugs asap or at least offer us a good compensation.

As I said earlier, I am not against the game having few bugs, its a new game and it's normal to have bugs, but I believe I should not be charged for that. All I am asking for is a simple in game reward compensation or extra game time.

What makes it worse that few of these bugs were in the Beta, they were reported by players but Zenimax did not fix them yet, few of these bugs are 4 months old! Also Zenimax Support are not helping this game live for long, as they never or rarely admit they got bugs and never offer a timeframe for a fix or a simple apology.

Honestly , considering how almost all the other MMO with subs/month goes under , i would not bet on it.

They better stay sharp , people are not forgiving in this genre.

Well in many cases your probably right...but were dealing with people who simply cannot play or play for very limited times (5-20mins) before being booted. Now if you were or are a business person would you take those threats as idle chatter ? would you risk it ? These are real concerns I know because i am one of the ones affected by these bugs and I will not pay a sub for a game i cannot play!

Maybe the game is playable on your side, it is not on mine. I logged in one hour ago, entered Cyrodiil and got kicked out by the random unknown error.

I am trying to login again, I already tried more than at least 4 times but all of them my game is stuck on Cyrodiil loading screen and there is nothing I can do.
    [/quote]

Yes, I repeatedly got this upon entering Cyrodiil. Fearing for loss or corruption of my char - having of course read so many issues with empty banks etc - I am not playing PvP. So essentially the flakiness of 50% of the game is denying me access to that aspect of it.

Even so, bugs, launch day mayhem etc, I can take all that in my strike if Zenimax would simply speak to us. As they are not communicating, it simply feels like a cash grab.

An ongoing subscription is a loyalty payment to a service, Zenimax seem to like the idea of the loyalty flowing their way, but they're not too fond of the bit where it has to flow back to us in terms of listening and working through the issues with us.

Right now, I've paid the fee for the great game design (50 quid or whatever) the sub is for maintenance and support, when I see some of that happening in a cohesive fashion, they can have my sub.

Thats why I said 90%. I have been involved with many game launches and see the exact same things. Zenimax will iron out all the bugs and they will be able to play.

Finally someone understands me! Yes, If just the customer support replies fast here on forums, admit they got bugs, list them and offer a time frame or a simple apology that would help much!

Also if they do not want to compensate us with some free game time because they want to grab more cash as soon as possible, at least offer us some reasonable in game rewards like extra EXP, EXP bonus potions or anything cool!

Guys its really simple almost every MMO has released with bugs and those who jump on the early bandwagon are essentially playing an extended beta. Most games dont come into their own untill about 3-6months after launch this is unacceptable! But the only way we can change this disgusting industry habit is not pay for games that are being rushed out the door to satisfy the needs of a bunch corporate stock holders!

Please dont get me wrong i love this game. But as i have stated before having to experience a bug that i reported 4 moths ago and zenimax still not address it just sucks.

I would love to stay as I love The Elder Scrolls games and lore but until they fix the big issue affecting me or at least COMMENT on said issue, I will not give them any more money. I really hope they at least respond soon because I know many people with this issue have already talked about leaving.

At this point in time I don't see much reason not to renew my subscription. However, I will say that I appear to be among the fortunate few who have not had major game-breaking problems.

The biggest issues that I've personally faced so far are super long loading times in Cyrodiil and some broken quests. The first problem isn't much of an issue because I'm never big on PvP and so I don't even want to go to Cyrodiil most of the time. The second issue has largely been relegated to non-crucial side quests. The only exception I've run into so far was Retaking the Pass which was part of the main storyline for the Aldmeri Dominion. However, that quest has been recently fixed and I've now moved forward with the AD story.

Not going to continue unless Zenimax improves it's abysmal customer service, communication and scheduled maintenance timing (happening at prime time).

For me, it depends on how long it takes ZOS/Bethsoft to resolve the bank/gold reset issue. Given the impact this bug has had on my (personal) playstyle, I consider it game-breaking. If it's not resolved by the time my 30 days expires, I'll cancel my subscription.

My girlfriend, who has played WoW with me for about 6 years, is at this rate not going to extend. She is far less tolerate of the numerous bugs, combat lag, and broken quests.

But her biggest problem is the sheer number of forced solo missions. For being an MMO that is a really counter intuitive design. Doesn't help that these solo missions are typically more difficult than any you can do in a group.

The game is in a much better state than AOC, Warhammer or SWTOR were when they saw their release.

Age of Conan had no content after level 30, Warhammer had a slight show due a bugged client that never got fixed and SWTOR was shipped without HD textures and a few weeks later they wiped all the char names too ...

TESO has everything so you can play for many weeks, the graphics are great and it runs very smooth (at least it did before last patch on my rig).

The problems with the retailers and ZO about codes, shipping etc. are unfortunate and a real shame. I am in contact with the customer service since Sunday and hopefully tomorrow when I log in my items are finally there. That said, I got fast replies and at least the last ticket seemed to indicate that help is on the way.

If I will keep my sub? I don't know yet. I definitely want to, but a lot depends on the current situation about the pre order items and if a content patch will be announced.

    Why those two things?

    1. If they can solve the problem then it shows me they care. Its not even their fault, but they still try to help and this counts a lot in my books.

    2. Content patches usually show a direction for the game. I am not a hardcore raider anymore, so for me its important that stuff like a thieves guild, maybe new crafts or public group quest´s are also coming and not just raids for premades like at wow.

Have you considered that this error might originate on your end and not on the server?

If i was you, i would take steps to figure out where the problem is. For instance, get hold of some other way to connect to the internet. Like, using a smartphone to set up a wireless access point, and connect your computer through that. This will eliminate possible issues with your router, with your ISP, etc. If that does not work, then try to have your son bring over his computer to your place and try to play the game using your internet connection - it if works, the problem lies in your computer. Etc. Etc.

I adore this game but I'll let the rest of the month dictate that. Its too soon for me to tell. Normally I would say HELL YEAH! but if these bugs are still in a month from now. I don't think so.

Well i really like eso and want to play it it just i get unknow error login time out etc. most of the time.
It's not fun when u are humping harborage, viral keep etc. zone door over hour just to get in.
All u can do is collect crafting mats and money, then i got hit by bank bug it really ate my passion to the game.
Right now i am consering taking little break from the game and try again after bugs are clear.

I played SWTOR on day one and it was nearly flawless for me. Far ahead of the launch of ESO in every way. I didn't trip over broken quests and bad combat lag.

Rift was pretty good too. Almost as much as SWTOR.

The only thing worse about WoW at launch was the database bugs that made looting take forever at times, and it did have some down time.. But combining all 3 of those MMOs, none comes close to ESO with the number of broken quests, glitchy character skills, and combat lag.

SWTOR didnt even have hi res textures when it launched. The game was so bad in the first 60 days they lost over 1 million paying customers. Almost the entire staff of Bioware pre swtor was fired over it. I think someone is either wearing rose colored glasses regarding swtor or making things up.
