The game is fantastic and I don't begrudge the initial cost or an ongoing sub. In fact, I was going to sub for 6 months right off the bat but there are a few customer services practises that are not right.
I am going to play the game for my free month, monitor the forums, monitor how well Zenimax seem to be getting their house in order and then decide what to do when my free month runs out.
I've advised my friends to not subscribe but to hold on so I can let them know how this month works out.
Awesome game, the developers should be proud of their creation here. But customer support should not be proud, as they are letting down both the artists who made this thing, and Bethesda who entrusted support of their valuable franchise to them. And they are clearly letting down a lot of customers.

But I'm not sure if I'll keep playing. The game isn't as well-crafted as I had hoped. The graphics and animation are poor and the quest structures unsophisticated.
I had hopes for the PvP but my experience so far is of massive faction imbalance, which makes it predictable and uninteresting.
There is enormous potential but I'm not sure the will is there to make it a game worth playing. I fear that it will just be a method of milking the franchise for cash - a sort of virtual asset stripping operation.

And yet I have never seen so many dissatisfied people complaining about bugs and such. People would like to claim that times have changed and they expect more, but realistically that's like expecting jet packs as a form of transportations because the combustion engine has been around for over 100 years.
Lasting change is a slow gradual process, and the video game industry is no different. Could there have been things handled differently? Yes absolutely, but by no means is this game so borked or broken that its unplayable, nor is the balance so bad that everyone is band wagoning onto a certain class. As long as Zeni doesn't mess up I can only see this game getting better and better. They can have my $15 because the amount of fun I take away from this game far exceeds the cost of admittance.

Indeed. Many of the issues I have today are the same ones I had during beta testing. Work quickly ZOS, people will be patient, but only for so long.
