    Yea, my name got snagged. But it was inevitable "Aesir" seems pretty common for some reason.

    I just place Aesir of CT (CT being a great game I used to play) whatever, names mean nothing to me, everyone you play with just ends up giving you a nickname anyways haha.

    This would be an interesting turn of events if people's names were indeed bound up in the somehow-still-existent beta characters.

    Weird, I was in the beta but my forum name is normal. Maybe that has something to do with it?

    Just because you believe you are the only one capable of coming up with that combination of letters doesn't mean you are. I always make up names out of my head in games and often come up with ones I think should be unique. Often they aren't and I have to think of something else. I don't start looking for other things to blame, I just accept that if I can make it up,so can somebody else. At least in this game you can add a last name and still get what you want.

    Okay, so I'm jumping the gun by saying everyone who did beta is stuck with their name.
    I cannot--and should not attempt to--speak for everyone without all the facts..... but there was a thread about it a few days ago so I know I'm one of at least a couple dozen but probably many more.

    Yeah, this has been reported numerous times, with people who logged in the minute the game went live during the 5 day early access, and their names were already taken.

    Then they werent fast enough. its first come first serve, not Ive always used that name.

    In my experiences, no name is unique, not even a random key-smash. There is always bound to be someone else who comes up with it. Years ago I thought I was original with a "Dimension Traveler" ....Nope, there are lots of "Dimension Traveller"s though, with two LL's? 0_o; (Which honestly never made any sense to me, since Traveler is spelt with one L, so says the spellcheck!)
