Do restorationv and lighting staff heavy attacks count as channeled abilities?

If so the highelf passive for protection might not suck but if they don't that's a pretty weak passive given that channeled abilities are pretty much elusive to Templar and everyone literally hates them because they arnt rotation friendly or really fit into the games fast paced combat at all

Yes, I am told it does from a couple people that have tested it.

Might be a more decent passive than I thought then

Ooooh that's actually pretty damn neat if it works on resto heavies!

With the change to heavy attacks giving 0.5x resources when blocked, resto heavies are going to be an incredibly reliable sustain tool, since they already couldn't be dodged, and can now somewhat ignore block. If they also benefit from the 5% mitigation passive, then their biggest drawback (being fully exposed during the channel time) is addressed to some extent.

That said, it's probably better to just Dark Deal on sorc, but it's nice to have the option.

Ya dark deal might be more effective now, it's still a pretty crap skill tho

Maybe for PvE, but it's amazing in PvP.
