Maybe they like 2nd person? The thing about 2nd person is you need to BELIEVE to see it.

✭✭✭3rd PersonI used to prefer 1st person. I grew up on all the classic shooters like Doom, Quake, Unreal, etc. and it was what I was used to. But when I got to Skyrim it was annoying having my weapons all up in my face. Claustrophobic. Plus I wanted to see the character I created. Now I vastly prefer 3rd person.
And as others have said you can't properly see what's going on around you in this game if you use 1st person.1 -

actually the other option would be both for those who switch between the 2
I play both. First person is generally my favorite view in elder scrolls. However, in groups 3rd person is better view to see area effects gotta know when you in that red to move it.Edited by Merenwen_812 on February 11, 2019 4:57PM0 -

✭✭✭✭✭3rd PersonTo my great embarrassment, I played in 1st person for close to a year (as I have always done with ESO titles). If all you do is RP, quest, and fish, it really doesn't matter. In any actual combat scenario, 1st person is a huge disadvantage. That said, my buddy Denoht has a great video of him healing VMOL in first person. Needless to say, he didnt tell the rest of us until after the deed was done. haha.0 -

However if I am doing anything that is challenging or hectic with regards to combat (world bosses, dungeons, dolmens, and trials) I switch to 3rd for the environmental awareness.
I like combat in 3rd person a lot, actually, but 95% of the time I'm exploring and adventuring and prefer to be in 1st person.

✭✭✭✭1st PersonWhoop, I meant to select 3rd Person and hit 1st. I never use the 1st person POV in this game unless it's for fine-tuning stuff when I'm decorating houses, or to get a better look at stuff around me since it's pretty much a zoom-in thing. The 1st person view messes up my vertigo and makes me feel dizzy and nauseous after a few minutes (especially with the head bob, but thankfully that can essentially be turned off), and the perspective of your surroundings makes it seem like your character is actually really short.
