I played main story/solo content in first but switched to third end game as tactical fighting/ avoiding AOE etc is easier. I think it’s only end game and PvP it makes a big difference in.
its better that way for me. Just barely i go into 1st person when i want to enjoy the view or make screenshots XD

It depends. In battles it's more convenient to use 3rd person view, while questing, housing and em... lollygagging is much more pleasant in 1st person view.

Hint, go first person and jump to Rawl or other popular wayshrine. Don't puke.
Had something like it in 3rd too, had something passing through my field of view over and over, found it was the tail of an Khajiit who stood behind me and high up.
I would love to enjoy the game in 1st person view but due to the way the game is designed it is not fun at all, mobs respawning behind you alot, things glitching through the camera etc.
Almost all locations are designed to accomodate third person and with enemies tending to surround you and clipping through other players it's just easier to play in third person. Plus I like to see my costumes. I only use first person view for looting small containers and checking out other people's characters.

I began playing in first person since that was what I was used to in other games. However, third person is better for almost every end game activity in the game. So I’m in 3rd basically all the time now.
I would only use 1st person if it was allowed while on the mount. That would feel hella cool.

I like the immersive nature of feeling like I actually am my character in first person. I can actually aim my DPS staffs better that way too. In larger battles however I need to be able to see what is going on around me. Hard to see red circles in first person. So I switch back and forth. My mouse wheel gets a real workout in this game!
I play 3rd person because it give me better awareness in Cryodiil, dungeons, pledges, pretty much everywhere. I use 1st rarely when I need to interact with or loot something that's hard to reach in 3rd person.

Gotta have 3rd person for PvP. If you don't, there's a lot to be missed. Used to play 1st person in PvE, but once I got into PvP, it's all 3rd person now. Additionally, you can see so much more as to the landscapes, etc. Better experience, imo. However, there is detail to be missed when you're roaming around inside homes and mansions and castles, so my advice, try to do both.
3rd person in all content. I like seeing my outfits, my mount, my pets...
Why even have a pet or costume/outfit if you play 1st person?

Hmm, I generally use 1st person. I might be more effective in 3rd person because I can see what's around me, but generally, I prefer 1st person.
