They didn't answer him at all, they only told him what he already knew: he's banned. The whole point of the ticket is to dispute that.

I know these CSRs are new and currently overworked but come on. They sent a similar form letter to me in response to a ticket - no actual information and it said Status: Solved. You know I let them know what I thought of that in my customer survey.

I always play with a friend and when we had around 20k i gave him all of it so he could buy a horse. Few days later he gave me back the 20k...

    Now I am curious...

What on earf can somebody possibly do to get banned this early after release? I agree, they should at least give you a brief description of the offense, or at least explain in detail upon request. Most people that get banned and don't bother mentioning it deserved it. ;)
To succeed you must do the things that you think you cannot.

Hello , I'm the guild mate of the banned person , ive played with him in other games for a while and i can assure you the ban is false.

I'm kind of sad to see that this game is giving him the same problem as guild wars did , the system just bans him for trading his gold to a person he wants to trade it to , what is wrong with that , what kind of genius even invented this system?

You guys need to check onto that automated banning system , cus the guy just sent around what , 40k gold? And he got banned for such a low amount? Well , that shows how bad it is , you know.

Gold selling is against terms of service and will get you banned.

Could you elaborate on this, are you saying he has been banned from another game for transferring large amounts of gold? Surely if it's happened in previous games he would have thought to transfer it in smaller amounts....

Riza is one of our guildies we had a similar problem on gw2 that got solved and he got his account back!!
When we started this we realy hoped to not have the problem here, as a couple we always play together and we share everything and the gold goes to the 1 that need it most in that moment...i realy hoped to get this solved faster!
    Thanks Riza Anyway

Wait a second wait a second.. really?

Really, I'm a calm and relaxed person but seriously now? For real? This is insane. So, since I usually end up being pretty rich in MMOs since I just love to trade, find margins and that stuff - do I need to be concerned now to suddenly find myself suspended for being successful at that? Or even "permanently banned"?

I'm really upset now and to be fair this is exactly what will decide for me as to how long I will be part of TESO. I'm sorry if I end up a rich player, I am just uncanny with loot-luck (2 boss-blues per dungeon is my current ratio) and have always been for some reason (getting gear sets that require a minimum of 10 runs in 14 runs in games with rng drop rates e.g.) - and if that makes me have spare 10 million (like in SW:TOR, where this was my reserve fund) then what? Should I be afraid of using that then to help myself and guildmates? Because that is essentially what I usually do with it - putting it to good use.

That can be anything, from a donation to buying items for them e.g. and I really couldn't care less about doing so. It's just fair because without them, I'd get no loot drops (due to no content).

So, let me announce it already: I will be ending up with "suspicious" amounts of currency - but it'd never cross my thought to buy it with my real life currency or sell it or anything like that, that very thought is absurd to me. It's game money, like in Monopoly and all that.

Please deacticate this routine suspension and just initiate very carefully executed inspections. If in doubt contact the player.

Seriously this entire thread and what's behind it gives me the creeps.

For now I will refrain from spending my currency on myself other than buying directly from other players and will not donate to my guildmates any longer. Which is a very, very, very bad thing for me and I really detest being forced to do so just because someone is apparently not setting inspections up proper.

Have never heard of such a thing before and I'd be raging mad if such a thing as that even temporarily blocked me. I think that'd actually be worth checking my rights as customer then in such a case. Sorry but this is overdoing it by thousandfold.

I also expect, out of common decency, a reply to the exact circumstances when such a block would ocurr and why and how soon this will be resolved. Hasn't got to be public reply, I don't mind.

If that requires me to send a ticket or a formal email inquiry, I'll gladly do that, just say so. I am very sorry for having been forced to write this and being forced to put up with such a thing at all but this is definitely where I draw the line.

I would be upset if this happen to me too.

If they don't want players to trade gold to each other, then they should just re-program the mailing system to where you can't send each other gold.

That seems like a far better solution than banning boyfriends who mail their girlfriends some money lol

I just stumbled across this thread by accident when checking the dev tracker, and I am appaled by what I am reading here.

Going after gold sellers is one thing, but banning players for simply being friendly and helping out guildmates and friends? That is ridiculous, and also very bad press.
I certainly don't want to play a game where I have to be afraid to give some gold to a friend so he can finally afford that item he always wanted to buy.

I really like this game, I'd love to see it succed and be around for many years to come, and am willing to put up with a lot (the bank bug comes to mind here), but this is the thing which, if this practice is not rethought, will really make me rethink if I am willing to pay a subscription fee. I will be keeping my attention very much on this subject to see how it develops so I can decide about my future in this game.

Reminds me of all the people claiming they were unjustly banned in masses on the rift forums, and then a dev specifically calling them out on their lie and pointing out what they did.

I'm not calling anyone here a liar, but I tend to not believe the full story to much of what is said on video game forums. The dispute process really should be done in private with those that can help.

I wonder why zenimax cant put one employe each main zone of the cityes banning the people who spam gold seller sites and etc... than just put a mechanic that automatic ban someone who trade gold (still a high quantity of gold is suspicious) so i partially agree, gold seller must be stopped, must broke some eggs to make a omelet

Well, I'd still like to see some official statement on this whole matter. Because right now, at least for me and friends I've talked to, this causes a lot of uncertainty on whether we can spend gold to help each other out or not, and I'd like to see that uncertainty resolved.
If I am disallowed from sending friends gold (despite this not being stated anywhere I could find it), I'd like to at least know instead of getting a banhammer to the knee out of the blue.

In regards to another automated system, I've seen a thread or two for people being banned for "use of third party software" which would be a violation technically, though odd considering they allow add-ons, but the threads I've read it sounds like it's false detecting something. It's SUPPOSED to detect external macroing software afaik to prevent grinding/farming bots.

A good number of high end keyboards and mice come with software that technically is considered this even if the user's not aware. The method of detection they are using for gold spammers and bots seems pretty archaic and has been replaced with much better systems in many other MMOs
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

Well if they actually tell me what I did, that'd be a first. But I got NOTHING from them
