Wrong forums for this. This isn't for I bought the regular meal but I'd really like to have the a super sized happy meal with the toy, but I don't want to pay the extra cost for the large fries section....

I look at it like this: All of people who pay real world money for a cheap fake horse have more fake money to spend on my fake goods and services. That means with a little work and chat spam I too get a cheap fake horse, just not a soon as they do. I mean really, if no one had extra gold to spend then no one would pay 1000gp for a stack of raw mats or 1,000-3,000gp for a basic racial motif. They would be farming them on their own. I have yet to see it unbalance any part of the game.

As far as the user interface add-ons go I think it's too early to tell if they are unbalancing the game in any way. If they ever do I have faith that the devs will see it and nerf it. Don't forget that they control the API (Application Programming Interface) and without the API hooks in place to do something it can't be done. That's why no one has built an add-on that auto reports gold sellers.

Getting something early that everyone else can get is convenience, not unfair advantage. Unfair would be a cash shop mount that was faster than all possible in-game mounts.

Even if that was the case since it's from the company itself it's still a different issue altogether from player made addons. It's just a faulty comparison all around.

The horse is not an unfair advantage. It was one of those bonus items for my imperial edition (the Molag Bol statue is sick!) It's convienant sure, but unfair? No. Well when they fix the sprint bug for the horse then it will be all good.

I am not sure what the problem is.. if you save up for the basic horse, you can afford to get it around level 18-20. Sooner if you are in a trade guild. That is on par with other games and their mounts.

I was responding to the OP, not the stupid damage meter debate that spawned afterwards.

Actually, no. You'd see this if you were in Cyrodil. The horse normal run speed pulls ahead of even the Cyrodil perma-sprint. And the horse sprint, in turn, is much faster. After chasing after a crowd of mounted players and never being able to keep up, it definitely confers an advantage.

Remember also that the zone is enormous. Over say 50 yards, the difference is still there, but not great. When racing to the next keep objective? It's enormous.

This is a momentary advantage. As players earn more gold theyll be able to afford the more expensive and obviously faster horses available in game.

I understand that for the first month or so that this horse makes players faster then those without it. But it will be no different once people begin to purchase horses from in game.

The Imperial Horse is nothing more then a Pack Mule for me. Im not even bothering to upgrade speed. But once I purchase the fastest base stat horse. Ill be working to upgrade its speed and stamina.

Before long these Imperial/Cam Horses will be junk and nothing better then carrying extra drops.

Actually the horse you get has ridiculous stats and has the same run-speed as of a player. By the time you upgrade the horse to the point it runs any faster than the player to make a significant difference, you have already spent some 24,000 gold and 10 days on upgrades, which is right on par with the in-game horses.

The way I see it, the main difference is color -- and does this create an unfair advantage? Being it is white and not camo, no.

100% accurate..the horse is a waste of money.

I think, especially in PVP, that unfair advantage is a relative statement. Some guy with his $5,000 gaming rig and multiple monitors has an unfair advantage over some guy running with a off the shelf HP from best buy. The funny thing is the guy with that gaming rig would still complain that the HP guy has an unfair advantage if he had the digital and the HP guy had the Imperial edition, despite the fact he would shread him in actual 1v1 combat.

lol its funny how someone is upset that they don't get included because they aren't up to par with their specs. And, is tired of being told how to spec their ch. that they want to play way they want to play. Also that the horse is crappy or is given to those who have the money (I don't know I've gotten a little lost ).

WELL I say A play way you want to play and those that spec will play the way they want to play. By your own argument you are judging others' playing and wanting to force them to play way you want to play. Also to defend those people that spec I've run a couple of dungeons its crappy as hell getting beat down cause one or two people don't know how to spec, not to mention costly in repairing your armor. As for the last thing about the deeper pockets well get a life if I want to spend my earned money, key word being MY money on some stupid horse that may or may not offer speed is MY choice don't you tell me how to play or do with what I want with MY money.

And its one horse lol if you get your panties all wadded up over that and act like the world is crashing down around you, well your probably not going to be a very happy person on any MMO
