I am owed a game that doesn’t crash out every 30 minutes or so, where the FPS in major cities is at least into double figures, the ping is below 3 figures, the servers are robust and up to the job and there is no lag. That should be what my sub gets me.

ZOS is a business. If you think about it, nothing they give out is 'free'. Any assets have to be created by programmers, who are paid by customer subscriptions and purchases. If no one paid ZOS, there would be no supposed 'free' items to give. This is besides the fact that the giving of these items is a business decision, designed to entice player retention/spending and keep the company earning money.1 -

✭✭Yes, ZOS is a business. However, unhappy subs are customers. Customers want value for their dollar/Euro/whatever. This is an official forum for ZOS' customers to either talk to other customers about the game or leave feedback for the devs. That can be requests, compliments, or complaints about the value said customers are receiving.
The whole concept of "free lunches" doesn't apply here.
I'm not of the camp that feels that my sub is declining in value, but I also understand that some of my fellow customers might have a different opinion. Sadly ZoS doesn't have a very good product when it comes to stability and performance, and there are times when I either don't have access to the game, or where the quality of that access is what I consider bad. ZoS do not owe me any free stuff, but they do owe me the service I pay for, and when they can't deliver that, it would be nice with some form of compensation as a sign of goodwill, which they don't do either.
As a business, ZoS delivers a very bad service, and it's a miracle that there are customers out there defending them. You would not defend an internet provider that only covered 90% of the days that you paid for, who had a very unstable internet connection and didn't answer the phone when you called for support.Edited by sionIV on February 7, 2019 4:28AM5 -
