I like that acknowledging that there is no such thing as a free lunch somehow means I don't play the game or hate the rewards. Both of these are incorrect. I do and I don't.

What if we log in everyday because we enjoy the game?

Then the incentive is pointless but they won't exclude you from taking it for obvious reasons.

Rewards are the items, gift cards, cash, or perks such as time off or discounts earned through receiving recognition or achieving your goals within an incentive program

Incentives always have a time period, a measurable action or goal, and a reward associated with them.

So I'm not really following your argument ... As it's exactly what ZoS says it is

A free reward given in recognition of acheiveing the goal they have set through a daily log in incentive program

It's your choice to commit that incentive for the reward offered

Now if they only add race change tokens into the rewards. :o

Though I think it is great for new players and would even be better for seasoned players if they would allow us to sell the items in guild stores or gift them.

And so what? Were is the bad thing in it.
The thing they do and the CS is what make the game run around.

There isn't anything wrong with it. But this idea that it's a gift they do out of some sort of kindness, and that the system is above criticism is silly.

It's an incentive. You do something to get it.

Doesn't hurt me to log in every day, ergo free, costs me less than a cup of coffee in time.

They don't require people to be ESO+ subscribers in order to get the log-in rewards.
    They are 100% free.
Yes, there is a reason they do it ... but that doesn't make them any less free.

The November rewards (free Murkmire) probably cost them a lot in terms of DLC sales, in addition to that, ZOS has NEVER disclosed the amount of players online, they only disclosed the number of accounts registered, and that was when they hit a milestone.
Really don’t understand these forum warriors that think the world is out to get them, the rewards are absolutely free, don’t overthink it.

It is free. Do I pay money for it? Nope.

It's free because I log in whenever I can anyway and it requires no effort or time from me to claim a freebie.

How can anyone complain about free stuff?

I'd be logging in every day to play for my 9+ hours (or so....) anyway - getting freebies once logged in is really cool. If they go away tomorrow I'll still log in to play every day.

I usually log in every day, although not necessarily on all accounts (2 PC-NA and 2 PC-EU). For the past few months, since the monthly rewards started, though, I have been logging them all in. This month I don’t feel I’m missing much by not doing so, though, so I’ll probably take a bit of a break. It’s actually something of a relief!

But if the login rewards were implemented to give people the incentive to log in (and the good ones DO give that little dopamine rush), then February is a bit of a /fail in that regard, at least for me.

Actually I do have to login every day even if there were no login bennies to get my mats from the hirelings.

So, the login stuff is a bonus for me.

They are obviously free but cant deny its a pretty lousy month daily reward wise :)
Personally i dont care about them, since i play for fun not rewards but they could have made them a bit more interesting imo.

But each their own and im happy to see most people like them, they are not important for me personally. :)

Since this game is my current hobby in retirement, seriously.... logging in every day costs me nothing. Not even time - because I have all the time in the world.... and I log in every day anyway.

Equating a 3 minute login to using up time is kind of a silly argument. Nearly everyone in the world wastes a LOT more time than that just reading posts on this forum....

You still can be happy! If you enjoy the system now, continue to enjoy it.

Just don't be afraid to voice your pleasure or displeasure at the rewards on offer. And if you vent to someone about having to delete the 19th lethal crown poison stack and get hit with the "iTs FrEe YoU iNgRaTE!" Just tell them that there is no such thing as a free lunch and point this information out.

I pay nothing to log on. Thus free. I bought the game and such but there is no fee to log on.
