This is when I consider my characters done and I don't go out of my way to do much else on them. Anything after that is just extra but my OCD doesn't compel me to do it.2 -

Some people make a character with just one goal in mind for that one. Like, Character Wosname isn’t done until he’s a master angler. And Character Hisface isn’t done until he’s a master crafter. I actually played that way briefly - the "ironman" approach. Play till the character dies, then delete and start over. I still do that in Skyrim from time to time.
Here though, Lag, falling, or just general stupidity gets me too much to ironman it.1 -

Some clarification/examples:
1. My main did not have predefined end goals, only vague ambitions that have sharpened over time with experience. This was on purpose.
2. My two primary alts get full yellow equipment and well-tuned skill setups with all the skill points they could ever need. They are both master crafters in all seven professions. They were created to satisfy these objectives that my main could not:- Full focus on the other two combat roles (in this case healer and tank)
- Complete access to the other two alliances (in this case EP and AD)
- Multipliers on the number of daily writs I can complete
As I'm sure it goes with many people who play any MMO, the theme here is that all of the alts in this hierarchy are generally serving some greater purpose of feeding into my main and making him stronger/wealthier.Edited by Tatanko on February 2, 2019 2:42AM1 -

I seem to be able to do one of those 3 and then get burnt out on dungeons and don’t try for the other achievements. I don’t like grinding dungeons, maybe I can play each 10 times across all characters and then I give up lol

I just level to 50 and then jump into Pvp.
I got all the decent sets I need, so for me a character is done when I find the right outfit.
Necromancer might change that and make me actually explore the game a bit again, since the last thing I've played through was Orsinium.
Except it's lame to play then it will be the same old "hit 50 -> pvp" routinePC EU
