Btw why still no fireworks mementos? You release an awful lot of mementos, and many of them suck, but I'm sure a lot of people would like those firecrackers as mementos..

We wanted to take a moment to clear up some confusion regarding the availability of Cadwell’s Weapons’ Outfit Styles during the Jesters Festival, as well as the Outfit Styles for the Companions (Lyris Titanborn, Sai Sahan, Abner Tharn, and The Prophet) which will appear during the Anniversary Jubilee. We’re trying something new with this design, and we’d like you to understand the whole picture when providing feedback.

During their respective holidays, these Outfit Styles are not only going to be in the Impresario’s store – they will also occasionally drop from that holiday’s special reward boxes. For instance, Cadwell’s Weapons’ Outfit Styles can drop from Stupendous Jester's Festival Boxes. Further, the Outfit Style pages that come from these holiday reward boxes are fully tradeable and sellable: you can sell duplicates to other players, or buy the one you’re missing from guild stores. (Note that the Outfit Style Pages purchased from the Impresario are not tradeable or sellable.)

Placing these Outfit Styles in the Impresario’s store will allow you to purchase them using Event Tickets if you’d like, but will not be the only, or even the primary, source. This is the ‘new thing’ we’re trying – having rewards sourced in multiple ways, both with and without a random element.

You can get styles from reward boxes, from other players OR from Impresario. Where's forcing?

    @ZOS_MSchroeder

This seems like a welcome improvement to the total randomness of RNG rewards we usually have from events, and in general too. Now you can get your RNG motif pieces, trade some, sell or buy some, and still buy the leftovers that you need with tickets if required, which are bound and only for personal use.

    I like it!

I opened 21 Stupendous reward boxes. I received 5 Joke Popper parts :) but only 4 Festive Noise Maker parts :(

It seemed much easier to steal apples in Mournhold without getting a bounty this year than it has been in precious years.

I look forward to trying for Empieror when this goes live.

Overall still a lot of fun even though it's the third year, and still the best voice acting in the game.

@RaddlemanNumber7 Did you get any Cadwell style pages? If not, then the drop rate is really bad, and they are intending for us to use our event tickets for these pages. While they are tradable, if hardly anyone gets any, the few that will be for sale by players will be astronomical in price.

@ZOS_GinaBruno I noticed that the Impresario is selling the pages for 5 tickets, and not 10 like the patch notes indicated. Will it indeed be only 5? That will help some.

I was only able to participate over the weekend, and while I got 2 parts for the popper, I didn't get any for the other memento nor any of Cadwell's pages. Granted, my sample size was low, but if the event is only going to be 5 days like last year, we will only be able to obtain 15 boxes. Can you confirm that the event will be 10 days, at least, to align with other events. That way, we can earn 20 event tickets (rather than just 10) and have an easier time of getting enough tickets for the berry and the pet, or perhaps some pages we might be missing. Only 10 tickets and 15 boxes will leave most of us having to buy event tickets. Hopefully, that's not the plan.

I also found the other rewards in the Stupendous boxes to be lackluster. They are also clogged with items from the regular boxes. So, in some cases, I got a Cherry Blossom branch memento or a Jester's Coffer or a purple recipe. These drop in the regular boxes and so it's NOT REWARDING to get those INSTEAD of a Cadwell's page or new memento part. In some cases, I only go 10 green treasure items whose only purpose is to sell for 1,000 gold - really lame. These were introduced in the plunder skulls last year and I disliked them then. It is not rewarding to get a bunch of useless treasure that we can only sell. Just have gold drop instead - less inventory will be clogged up with useless items.

Please remove the items that drop in the regular jesters boxes from the stupendous ones. That will at least help us get at least one or two pages during the event and perhaps most of the memento parts. If the event will be 10 days, then 30 boxes sounds a little better, but none of us want to receive yet another Cheery Blossom Branch runebox in one of the stupendous boxes when we'll get plenty of them in the regular ones. Also, the other trash in the stupendous boxes are all the consumable dazzler mementos. They're clogging things up to. Just have the revelry pie consumables in the stupendous boxes; we'll get plenty of the others in the regular ones.

Gina - this is fine as long as the Jester's Festival lasts more than 5 days, I can guarantee you that we won't be able to get even half of the pages from just 15 boxes, considering all the other junk that drops in them (see my previous post). I'm unconvinced that drop rates won't be such as to funnel us to the CS to purchase event tickets. Especially when we can only hold 12 at a time. This will become problematic during the Anniversary Celebration, and I'll elaborate more in that thread.

I dropped 3, maybe 4 of the Cadwell's pages from rewards. Not sure exactly how many because I bought 3 or 4 of them as well.

And once again, we can only hold a maximum of 12 tickets at any given time so we have no way of storing our tickets up until the end of the events to see which pages we didn't get and purchase those from the Impresario's store.

Honestly, there are so many players in zone, discord, and in multiple guilds who are fed up with this whole ticket system that they, like myself, will be running these festivals only for the rewards in the boxes and not concern themselves with having enough tickets to purchase the next berries for the morph, style pages they didn't receive, or the pet at the end of the festival.

Also, with so many players having multiple characters that will need to purchase racial change tokens, not many players will spend real life money to purchase tickets for outfit pages and a pet.

Agreed! And you said it much more succinctly than I did in my post in the Anniversary Jubilee thread.

ETA: If you're trying to make the events more fun with the Event Tickets, you are failing due to the severely low cap on how many tickets we can hold at any given time. You say that you want to provide a variety of sources for the event items, but the low currency cap and usually bad RNG of these boxes will ensure a stressful event for many players. Previously, we could just wait until the following year for items we missed out on, but this year, we have no idea if any of it will return next year. Cadwell's pages might, but will the Companions' pages? This year's Anniversary has been changed to accommodate 5 weeks to celebrate the 5th anniversary, but I'm assuming the event won't be that way next year. Perhaps it'll be just two weeks where you can get the various boxes from the various activities (like week 5 will be this year), but we don't really know. I think it's safe to say that we should concentrate on the Indriks if we really care about those, as there are indications that they won't be around next year. But, we don't know if the same will hold for these special outfit pages, since they are also available from the Impresario.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Can you confirm that the non-Indrik items will return next year? That would alleviate some of the stress for players. But, I suspect that since they can be purchased with Event Tickets, and these tickets can be purchased from the CS, that you won't be able to say one way or the other. Which still leads us to the conclusion that the low currency cap, coupled with more items for sale from the Impresario, is designed to funnel us to the cash shop to purchase event items, meaning that the in-game events aren't entirely free any more.

If you weren't trying to force people to spend crowns on events, then you'd allow banking far more than 12 tickets, and the ability to get tickets would be more plentiful. Your explanation here doesn't deal with the root cause of complaints.
