There is not enough content for the dollar value. Aswell it server performance has not been touched since 2014 so zos does not deserve this extra money.

This is similar to how I feel. I mean, for me I was happy to keep a sub while there was lots of new substantial content being added regularly. But after seeing their last stream and how little new content is coming this year relative to what was added each of the last two years, I instantly unsubbed (feel free to check the links in my sig if you want to see an in-depth comparison of first and second quarter releases and how they've been diminishing in overall content yearly).

The restructuring of ESO+ rewards last year was a clever way to spin less as "more". The crafting bag, bank space and furnishing limit increases aren't bonuses, they're all merely having to pay to avoid purposeful bottlenecks. I enjoy the game but simply won't be paying for a sub again until I see some big new systems brought to the game to earn my sub back, like the Player Housing system of 2017 or Outfitting system of 2018. And where are the new crafting systems? We got 1 last year (jewelry crafting) and 3 the year before (furniture crafting, transmutation and master writs). Nothing of that level shown to be coming this year.

If you're willing to spend a Guild Slot for it, make a little guild and recruit members in the new player zones. All you need is 10 to open up a Guild Bank with an extra 500 slots. New players don't usually stick around long, so you can get a personal bank this way in no time. It's an easily workable alternative to the crafting bag.

I used to sub constantly, but once ESO pulled the 'chapters/DLC' bait and switch, I binned the sub and have not paid for it since. Not having a sub has had very little impact on me and fundamentally do not believe this game has the quality to justify a sub.

e.g. I willingly sub to FFXIV, but that's a high quality game run by people who care about the game and customers, and you don't have cash shop tat rammed down your throat at every opportunity. I view ZOS as an unscrupulous retailer who I have no interest in funding, and ESO is a rather mediocre game nowadays, with small cookie-cutter content releases that largely offer nothing new.

    Same here.

I've never had cause to question the benefits of subscribing, and I don't really understand those who would rather forego all the benefits of doing so and buy crowns with which to buy the DLCs etc when they could spend no more, and probably less, subscribing and getting all the DLCs as well as the subscription's cost in crowns with which to buy everything else they want. It's a bit of a no-brainer unless you're one of those who rail against ZOS or genuinely can't commit to a monthly payment.

Depends on how you play the game and how often.

Crafting bag feels like a must unless you don't pick anything up ever or don't mind inventory management constantly. Orsinium is about the only DLC I like and I used my crowns from subbing to buy it any way. I won't bother re-subbing once my ESO+ runs out. It's nearly $200cdn a year and I can't justify that for how little I've been playing lately, more so since I've moved onto other games.

The bankspace, the craftbag are neat, but they should be basegame IMO...

The content is good, but not enough to justify subscription IMO
I only have ESO+ for the Bankspace, and Craftbag, and the DLC Trials Since im playing the game for this type of Content...but I ish there would be more overland content than now

just payin for trial acces and 2 features which should be basegame is a bit underwhelming for me

I've played the game since June 2015 and never bought ESO plus, recently, I got so tired of inventory management, I went and bought ESO plus for three months, and this is possibly the best purchase I've made on the game, the unlimited crafting space is amazing, and the double bank space is also great. On top of all of that, you get 10% bonuses for lots of things (xp, research specifically). You also get crowns for each month of ESO you purchased which allows you to buy anything else you want in the crown store. I think its great for the craft bag alone.

This. My first three months subscription ends in a week and I might buy the 12 month one now.

Current sub price is quite too much in my country. Thank Azura, we have addons on PC so I don't suffer inventory management at all. I don't feel like I need crafting bag, 'cause I have a pocket banker and addons.

At the same time, I've bought 61K crowns (~10K on sale, others full price) in 2017 and 17K crowns in 2018 (full price, I didn't play the game for like 8 months in 2018). So, it's not like I have no money for the sub. I most likely will buy additional crowns anyway, so what's the point? Craft bag is not my issue, and I prefer to buy DLCs instead of being temporary owner.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

I voted "definitely", but really it's more like "it is nice to have every once in a while".

    - If you know how to organize your alts, you don't need to have the bag all the time, it's enough to have it every other month to unload stuff off your mules.
    - If you purchase DLCs during their anniversary discounts, you get to keep them even when your subscription lapses. In certain times of the year it's actually beneficial not to be subscribed, because it means you can avoid DLC dungeons in your Undaunted event random queue. ;)
    - You can overfill your bank to double capacity while your subscription runs, and your items stay there even when it lapses.
    - Thus far, it looks like exclusive deals tend to come back next month. And even if they didn't, none of them is really a "must have".

It's worth remembering though, that even with all of the above, ESO+ is still a better value than 1500 crown pack, for the same money. I basically just subscribe for the crowns now. ;)

Their strategy is to put 1 useful thing in each DLC/Chapter/ESO+ so that without purchasing them all individually or subscribing to ESO+ you'll never have a full experience of the game. The value just isn't there for ESO+ once you factor in performance & remaining lifespan of the game.

The performance & community support will haunt them in future games (if they keep the same company name).
