Do you play the same class/es regardless of nerfs?

I expect to keep playing my pet sorc as my "main" (as much as that means to an altoholic like me) without thinking too much about how good or bad it is.

I still wish she wasn't so squishy, but that may just be an issue of keeping up my push to max CP. (At about 266 now.)

My beloved Pet Sorc is unplayable since the last patch. I really tried, but with all Sorc pets still requiring two slots and with the 3rd bar removed, two many required spells are missing and it is impossible to play this class in a competitive environment. So I am forced to play other classes in a competitive environment.

I play the same class: usually Warden or Sorc but I do play the other classes too, just not a lot. I wouldn’t switch to a class solely based on them being meta though. I play what I want.

I stayed unsubbed for 2 years once and 6 months another time, waiting for my class to be brought back to decency.

Of course I do. I'm a role-player first and foremost. These so-called "nerfs" barely impact me at all and the number of times they have (I would call them *changes*) I can count on one hand.

I have played my sorcerer since I started playing. The only thing that could make me change is if necromancer is fun because that's what I would have been playing if it were an option from the start.

I don't play meta, but I also don't get stuck on a character if its class identity is destroyed or if I don't like the flow of the rotation.

Lol I've played the DK class and only this class since the glory days (which got me interested in ESO) till the days we got wrecked with almost every skill nerfed & will continue on.

I missed some old skills that were beastly like my class AoE and I missed the passives that enabled me to be more offensive instead of a block magnet.

Yes. I play the same regardless. A Nord stamblade will never be meta, but I like the look and the lore. I tend to view him sort of like Kalam Mekhar from the Malazan Tales of the Fallen series. Really too big to be an assassin, but strong, sturdy, and still quiet enough to get the job done.

I don't chase meta but I did stop playing my NB healer and NB tava tank. I miss them. I am not a score board chaser but I was so upset about certain changes I have been discouraged from playing NB heals and tava tank_ I have plenty of other classes to play for now

Switched my main Khajiit magsorc since preorder to stamina after murkmire

Granted it was an long term process, character is more suited for stamina being main achievement hunter doing all the quests and all of the crafting, leveled an Altmer sorcerer to replace her role.
Hat tricks was shielding and res tank in an vet dlc.
Shield nerf and loss of overload bar pretty much killed the build.
Has one of each class way to many, as in bank alts who can do random normals.

other - I play whatever class I feel I will enjoy at the time. Usually I play off meta because it is rewarding to still play the highest level content with the "worst choice" of the patch. Unless your looking for top leader board scores, no reason to not play the class you want, in the roll you want. If you get good at them, the difference is quite small. - the key is to work at it enough to not suck and hold people back.

I’ve never played a meta class aside from mag sorc for a very short time prior to rune cage and fury nerfs just to see if the hype was real (it was). I did finally switch from a stam sorc main to stamina templar after the most recent nerfs. I highly dislike stamina wardens and don’t care for stamina NB.

Yeh. I've never played anything as much as I have my sorc. I have a warden at max and more recently a NB and I really enjoy screwing around on my NB (warden has been neglected to lolwolf dps for rando trials), but these two are very much just side characters.

I have fun healing on my sorc and I'm unreasonably attached to my achievement points.

I've never changed which characters I play based on gameplay mechanics changes for any MMO. I change characters because I want to experiment with/experience different content, or different skill sets, and I *have* altered my characters to match some portion of meta gameplay just to see what it's like, but yah, I've never had a class changed so dramatically by mechanics changes that I suddenly gave up on them.

I currently have a Dunmer as a Dragonknight because when I was creating this new character, over 3 years ago, the Dunmer had the Racial Passive of Destructive Ancestry which increases your Flame Damage by 7%. And the Dragonknight has the Ardent Flame skill line.

So now that this will soon be gone I have asked a few times in the forums for a class change token. Has there ever been a class change token available?

Depends. If something fundamentally changes and I can't enjoy my playstyle, I might make a new character. If it's just a little lower damage output or something, no biggie. Definitely not meta chasing.

If I'm constantly trying to keep up with the character changes, well, I'll just say WoW changes their classes each expansion, and I no longer play that..

I only heal so the team gets a lot of say in what I do/run. They want the warden, I have to get the warden. Fortunately I've grown accustomed to it, but that learning curve sucks. And with the new class, there's a chance I'll have to repeat the process

I would care to disagree that this polls shows such because there are people, like me, who main and love my Mageblade regardless of nerfs BUT.....I play other characters but don't play them because they are the META at the time. I care to disagree with a lot of the complaints on the forums about nerfing stuff and imho, they have no idea what they are talking about most of the time. Every time someone complains about cloak on a nightblade, I want to write an essay and compare defense skills between each classes and what is easily available to counter them and what gives extra/bonus buffs in other ways...or tell them to play a nightblade and use cloak and then tell me how OP it is as a defense strategy.

QFE. That's exactly how I am. I also have a NB and a sorc. I switch between mag and stam on both of them. I just prefer my MagDK because it is fun and aligns with my playstyle. I can't stand when people beg for nerfs. All it does is destroy classes, abilities and fun. I wish the forum mods would issue permanent bans for people who call for nerfs.
