Treasure maps on a wrong character

Is there a way to transfer maps to another character? One was mistakenly made for wrong alliance, because the game never explicitly asked which side I choose.

I can't put maps in the bank, it says: "you can't do that right now", while I can easily deposit other stuff.

What should I do?

The error message you're getting is odd, my experience is that if I try to put a 'bound' item I get a message which clearly tells me it's bound to the character.

I've definitely read posts early on complaining about opening the game item and getting a large number of maps that take up valuable bank space which again would indicate they're not character-bound.

Have you "extracted" the maps from the bundle? I'm pretty sure i have couple of maps in my bank?

I've just found one of the posts I was thinking of in my previous comment and on closer reading the poster said the 'uncompressed' item received in the mail couldn't be put in the bank, which I now take to mean the maps ones extracted can be.

I know for a fact maps found in the game from chests can be put in the bank so I'm thinking that the Explorer Pack maps can be it's just the item you get them in can't; which is a bit annoying I can see for you.

You can't put the bundle in the bank, if you get the maps out of it then you can do whatever. You're right they take a lot of space and it's beyond me why the bundles can't be stored in the bank but ... meh
