Why don't we have trans chars?

I'm a bit confused, this game offers a lot already like we can have lesbian marriages, but I don't seem to find an option to express the gender and character history of my char correctly if I don't write a long novel and force my guildies to read it. What do you think guys, shouldn't we have some more variety already and get this as some sort of option too?

Could put male chars in female outfits & visa versa for females. How many games have "gender identity" in them?

Hello, why is "trans is no gender" a valid statement? I don't mean to create a character with a "trans gender", I mean to create a character that has the option to change it's gender only and make it clear that they went through the whole process. It's a serious topic for many.

I think at least adding an option to wear masculine style armor on females and feminine style armor on males would be a subtle yet very important feature. Unlocking hair styles and adornments and facial hair to both sexes would also be nice. Otherwise Argonians (Murkmire especially) NPCs mention they have changed sex.

Also worth mentioning, remember there was a married lesbian couple in Morrowind that you got to see during the main story line.

Umm, if I'm not mistaken, but doesn't the lore refer to Nocturnal as a 'he' or more specifically a 'prince' and not a 'princess', but they really come off looking very very feminine.

This topic looks like inflammatory bait, mmmm spicy, I’ll bite.

We do have trans characters.

There are Argonian npcs that changed gender.

And you can easily make a trans character in character generation.

My characters aren’t trans but you can see how they might be.

That is with a lot of the Daedric Princes - Yes Princes. Meridia, Boethia, Namira, etc all appear as female yet they are Princes

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against trans people but there's no reason to want to include all sorts of things like these in my video games.

ZoS is coming a long way however in accepting the LGBTQ+ community. There are several same sex NPC couples (None seen in TESV) and even gender changing Argonians. It may take time but I'm sure they will keep opening up and expanding

I don't know why you need it clear that they went through the whole process? Once successfully transitioned wouldn't the only way to know to be through telling people like you said in the OP?

I guess I don't understand what you want. Attention?

If you buy the character adornment/hairstyle packs and costumes and eventually a crown store name change/race change you could easily play out over time a trans character's experience. Super expensive though, which should help your immersion.

What a weird request. Trans people are just... people. Male, female, nonbinary, whatever. It would be offensive if this game had special models/signifiers for trans characters.

Daedric Princes can take on any form and gender. Daedras are no point of argument for or against lgbt stuff.

Few trans people introduce themselves as "trans" and announce that they are MTF/FTM. They introduce themselves by their gender identity. Something tells me this is a troll thread.

You can't include any aspect of your characters history in the game, except by making it up and telling people. Whether that's how they learned the skills and spells they use, where they grew up, how they got that scar or what gender they are. Which is both good and bad: it means you have a lot of freedom to make your character whoever you want them to be, but it also means no one else is going to know unless you tell them.

So making a transgender character could be as simple as making a male character and writing a backstory where they used to be female and transitioned. If you really wanted to you could make them female and then buy an Appearance Change Token to use on them...but that's 1,000 crowns for exactly the same effect you'd get by making them with the correct gender in the first place.

The House of Revelries quest in Rellenthil in Summerset has a character that has changed gender from male to female. So, with magic, it is something that's possible and accepted in the Elder Scrolls universe.

You can force the elder scrolls universe to create lore about using magic to change genders and having an entire terminology revolve around it, but why try to force elder scrolls online to adopt anything from our world. Transexuality is not an infinite phenomenon. It had a start, it has a required process.

To be fair that would be medical science. Something not in midevil game. Otherwise you can dress who you like or even by appearance change token if you feel you need it.
