The EU server is located in one of the best data centers in whole Europe. The lags have nothing to do with the connection, it's the actual hardware/software running them old horses and of course the dirty programming by ZOS (some call it spaghetti code).

But I agree, there need to be actions on their ZOS side to improve it.

Where is it located? Think I read some saying Frankfurt somewhere, is it there?
I tested my ping on speedtest to different servers in Frankfurt and always get average 45ms while in game I get an average of 95ms :/

If we don't get compensation for this mess I'm not renewing my ESO+ either and I hope alot of others don't. This company doesn't deserve it.

Tired of being treated like a second rate customer on EU. I mean yes it happens in nearly all MMO's, but this takes the cake.

We pay a boatload of money for not only expansions, but subs and other conveniences that should be included in a PAY TO PLAY game that also has a sub.

Oh wait no, these guys are the most greedy company I've ever seen and they don't even give compensation while the server is down for the majority of a week? Other companies give compensation for even a day of downtime, companies that charge way less for expansions and conveniences.

Also the worst customer outreach i've ever seen. Zero reponse from the company to this shitshow, no apologies, no compensation, no nothing.

    Edit: Done my part.

If they can't offer a good game for us, we need to stop pay ESO + / Crown. They do all just for that. They will react fast

Yes, they are located in Frankfurt. The fluctuation in your ping depends on the route the host takes towards those servers. The same applies to the game but in addition to that, the game also relies on something called a "netcode".

The actual connections from/to that data center are Gbps links, which can still provide up to 500 Mbps during peak time (load balance)
