Clams! WAY too rare =(

The rarity of Clams has become one-in-the-same on seeing such things as a RL unicorn, a Bugatti Veryon, or a rotary phone!

Someone needs to step up and replenish these fine little creatures before the eco-system of Tamriel collapses! Powdered mother of pearl is the key part of Arteum Broth. How will the children of Summerset ever know the joy of this wonderful dish!?!

So enough roleplaying/funny business...Devs, can we PLEASE have these things either spawn more often, or in more places, or at least LOWER the amount needed to make one batch of this exotic dish!?!? You can do regular fishing just about anywhere in the game world. Getting a Perfect Roe is a simple task of fishing...a LOT. But your still able to get tons and tons of fish to try, right? But clams, are just so rare, even though they may only contain clam gall, that it's becoming one of the rarest things to find in the game. Needing 5 powdered mother of pearl is pretty obscene imo, and at the very least, can we have it lowered to like 2? If we can't have more spawned chances to even get our hands on this stuff?

Demand for powdered mother of pearl does seem to be outstripping supply; at least for PC/NA, on which I play.

I bought a batch of the stuff yesterday—as I had depleted my old stock which I purchased perhaps a month and a half back.

I was shocked to find that the MM price had risen from about 4k apiece to a whopping 6k.

Artaeum Broth now costs approximately double of its magicka counterpart, the Citrus Fillet, and that's a little absurd...

People still pick up clams? They usually only hold junk. That, and stray pieces of gear that Vanus left lying about.

It's not the how rare the clams are necessarily. The problem lies in the fact that finding a clam does not guarantee a drop. Sometimes I get Clam Gall, Water Hyacinth, or PmP. That's all good. I have an RNG chance to get the big money item or the other two. The problem lies in the 4th option for loot. Alkahest. The fact that I can spend 2 hours and open 30 clams and only get Alkahest. This item should be removed. These aren't half looted clams either. I've watched the clam spawn. I open it and get Alkahest. Find another clam Alkahest and the cycle continues.

The amount of money/too time invested in farming pearls is too little. Therefore people don't farm them. 3 hours of pearl farming with some decent RnG yields the same amount of gold as 35 minutes in IC.

Thats something that should have been added to the reward of daily crafting writs for provisioning when it went live
Same goes for perf roe...should also be in that loottablw

Yeah, parts of ZOS seem deathly afraid that some resource node might accidentally drop something valuable. Oh well.

I can't eat rare Clams or really anything rare or raw. I prefer my meals Well Done, which is why I like the Gesyers, always some good clams or pearls to get.
