ZOS should buff Heavy attacks.

Heavy attacks are much harder to land in pvp. Everytime i stun or root a player and try to swing a heavy attack, the player would break that stun and roll dodge.
Thats why heavy attacks should get a buff.

To me its the best if they boost heavy attack damage, take out stamina and magicka recovery if landing a heavy attack and implement another way how to recover ressources

Why are you using heavys? Use light attacks, much easier to land and you will do more damage then a heavy, which are for resource return.

He has a point. Heavies need to hit harder.

No, because of the resource return the current heavy attack damage is fine.

They talked a out speeding heaveys up . I think this is the best idea. Just speed them up a little bit. Would help in pve.

I wouldn't mind having heavy attacks be more useful. Can't use them in PvP due to high ping/lag and they're a dps drop if you use them in PvE. You only really use them if you f-up your stam or are running a lot for no raisin.

So the speed up sounds good, solves both.

Speeding it up is a fantastic idea. If they speed it up so that i can land my heavy attack before they can escape, then its fine to me. The thing is would it still feel like a heavy attack? I dont think so. Im also fine with boosting its dmg by about 25% and still let the player the chance to avoid that damage but also reward the player who can land it.

Swinging a heavy attack is a risk. If i fail then i lost damage on the target.

Zos specifically chose to buff light attacks and nerf heavy attacks. iirc, it was with Morrwind when they nerfed sustain. They chose to buff light attacks again just this past year.

If I recall correctly it was due to the choice that LAs were for damage and HAs were for regaining resources.

I am not arguing with what OP has requested but merely explain how we got to where we are and their suggestion seems counter to what Zos has in mind. They are reviewing how combat is in this game and finally making a pass at developing a vision for combat in this game. This is something that might be on their table. I expect the class reps are in on this discussion.

Perhaps OP is trying to use Doylemish set.

Even without any heavy attack sets , heavy attacks should do huge damage. Especially for immersion a heavy attack should deal massive damage to the enemy and not regaining ressources.. it just makes no sense at all. I mean.. go and take a 2hand hammer and swing it. Do you feel like recovering energy or do you feel exhausted?

Heavys do do more damage per attack, it is just that you can do 2 light attacks in the time it takes to do 1 heavy.

I feel like it would make more sense for heavy attacks to do more damage and light attacks to return resources anyway. Right now, heavies just aren't satisfying. They look like they should hit hard, but they don't feel like they do.

I think weapon skill line passives should add stuff to heavy attacks.

Like the heavy attack doing a debuff.
Or the heavy attack counting as blocking.

Please no, heavy attack meta was horribly boring. Heavy attack weaving is way too easy to do, light attack weaving at least rewards players for performing effectively.

Whats so hard about weaving with light attacks. Thats easy. Landing a heavy attack against experienced players is much harder. They know how to avoid it.
