Request testing — Orc sprint speed passive

As I don't have drive space for PTS, I would greatly appreciate if someone could test this (or share any relevant info you might have):

Basically... I would like to know whether the "Swift Warrior" passive is providing the full 10% movespeed bonus when sprinting, on the PTS.

On live, it only provides 4%—contrary to what the tooltip suggests. This is because it is factored as 10% of the sprint bonus itself—which is 40% movespeed—and therefore 0.1*0.4 = 4%

On PTS, however, the wording has been changed to "increases your Movement Speed while Sprinting by 10%" suggesting that a flat 10% movespeed bonus is applied—whilst sprinting—and no other funky calculations are involved.

@R_K has a great addon for recording character movespeed; the most accurate I've used so far:
https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1959-EssentialHousingTools.html

Or if @ZOS_Gilliam could shed some light on this, that'd work too.

Thanks for your time.

I found it to be 10% on pts rather than the 4% we have on live... was using a really old speedometer addon but since it seems to be accurate when measuring other speed modifiers like swift and steed I believe the swift warrior passive is gonna be significantly better next patch

They could just make it a straight 10% movement speed buff. I'd take it.
Jaisins -AD Stamsorc. Can't outrun an orc sorc
Bearingitall -EP Warden. Lions and tigers and especially Bears oh my

I’d be happy to run another test later today using that addon. I’m also curious about how it stacks with the bonus from medium and where the cap is? Because playing a nord on PTS with 6-7 pieces of medium didn’t feel much slower than an orc in 5 pieces.

Edit: did you link the wrong addon? That’s Essential housing tools.

That could be a little too strong, frankly!

I'd much rather see the Athletics passive be split into 1% general movespeed & 2% sprint speed per piece of medium.

So an extra 1-7% universal speed depending on how many pcs of medium worn, but speed while sprinting will be the same vs. live.

Would give medium a more practical speed advantage in return for all the sacrifices it entails. And since ZOS won't buff Shuffle immunity.

@Vapirko all movespeed bonuses stack addictively—Swift Warrior on live is the only exception; even then, the internally-calculated 4% behaves additively thereafter.

So it's simply added on top of the med passives and everything else.

The speed cap is +100%. Are you sure you aren't exceeding it with Orc on PTS? It's quite easy to reach.

Sprint + Major Expedition + 5pc med + Orc will already net you 95%. With any swift jewelry you would be exceeding cap.

Also yeah, that's the right addon. It has a built-in command for the speedometer when you're inside a player house. I'm guessing its accuracy is due to houses having more easily-measurable dimensions, vs. speedometers that function in the overland.

Well idk if I did this right. I made sure I didn’t have any speed passives from cp and removed all armor. Here’s the m/s I got with and without the swift warrior passive. It varied so I ran three with each. I wasn’t sure if it just started when you begin moving or when you press the first key or what.

    W/O swift warrior: 9.13, 9.08, 9.1
    W/swift warrior: 9.73, 9.69, 9.79

    Looks like 10% alright!

9.1*(150/140) = 9.75 which is almost exactly what you got with Swift Warrior.

I'd say that's pretty conclusive, thanks for the work @Vapirko

And from what I’ve tested the max wpn damage is strong. With a nord in 6-7 medium you’re still pretty fast and the max stats look good but tool tips were slightly higher for me on Orc in 5 medium with the flat wpn damage. That ult gen is still pretty cool though.
