Do things ever change DURING the PTS?

Like suggestions we make during the first few weeks. Do they ever change and let us try to test those?

I've never really paid attention to this stuff until recently, so I do not know.

If so, I am hoping we see some of the changes that people are posting such as Khajiit sustain increase, possibility of DW being looked at a different way for enchants (the nerf is silly).

Yeah they do. Like for instance the huge backlash about the shield cast time last patch, that's how we ended up with tiny shields.

And they said some stuff about editing the curse eater set, so that's a thing too. They listen....sometimes poorly
Since everyone seems to be doing this,
    DPS Builds:
    - Magicka Sorcerer (Pet) [Flawless Conqueror @ 565CP] - 582k
    - Magicka Nightblade [Flawless Conqueror @ 780CP] - 575k
    - Stamina Sorcerer [Flawless Conqueror @ 420CP] - 560k
    - Magicka Classless [Flawless Conqueror @ 810CP] - 540k
    - Magicka Templar [Stormproof] - 550k
    - Magicka Warden [Stormproof] - 510k
    - Stamina Templar [In Development]
    - Stamina DK [In Development]
    - Stamina NB [Under 50]

Rarely any massive changes will happen but yes they do make small changes based on feedback. If its really a game breaker like when they added cast time to all shield ability they changed it back but still had a nerf to it. When it comes to the race changes so far testing has not proved any major game breakers so I will be surprised if they change anything.

It all boils down on how many burning threads are created.

The nerf to cast time on shields has been reverted only because I and other hundreds of people protested so much that many of us got banned, and multiple times.

They do sometimes, but it usually takes two or three weeks to get the changes in.

Typically week 2 is not much/cosmetics and week 3 has any significant balance or itemization changes.

Other than tweaks tho, more often than not what goes up week 1 is pretty close to final. The sorc shield and Anguish set changes from last patch were different and hopefully a sign of a different direction.

That being said a lot of people pointed out that enchants were broken in PvP last patch and that still went live ... for a few days.

More than 20 pages of flaming saved the pyandonian motif from ending up being crowncrate exclusive....somewhat.

Boneshield scaling with max stamina never made it to live.

Destro ult got a lot of complains for being a weak, useless ult and got buffed until ppl started cryharding about the pvp morph.

Jewelry crafting got changed from major fckup to minor fckup but needed three month for it.

Player sugggestions dont ever seem to get implemented. When there is like 20 different suggestions to handle something, what they do in the end might be similar to some of them (as in adding "necromancer class" or "jewelry crafting"). I dont recall any "okay guys, we r doing what azyle1 suggested" or "that guy made a great thread about a feature, we r implementing it".

and theres things that dont change ever, no matter how "requested" (diluted rng lists; housing slots) or get somewhat of a "just so u shut up" - bandaid fix (golden vendor as a response to locking pvp items behind pve dungeons)

A major outcry is likely to change things, half the time not in the way expected tho (sorc shields).

I've had my theories about Warden/Necro/Jewelry crafting as do others.

Lets be real here. This is a business and ZOS always had plans to introduce those "inovations" to the game, but they were most likely left on the cutting floor when finalizing the game for the initial launch.

It's no surprise that they released light/dark/lightning/fire themed classes, but wait.. nothing for ice.. odd.

Then you look at the enemies in the game that have had Ice and Necro like abilities since the launch of the game and compare that to the fact that other enemies have the 4 original class themed skills.

There is a cinematic trailer from 2014 that shows the Breton Hero at 7:10 riding a dead horse with flowers dying around him and leading an undead army. The newest trailer for Elsweyr released 5 years later continues his story with him locked up in the cart right before the trailer cuts.

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=BMEhyY93AfQ

Why would you add a Necromancer in a cinematic trailer unless you planned on making it as a class, why wait 5 years? Thats some extremely well played out teasing.

I understand development ideas and direction change, but it's funny that these 3 inovations for the game were spread out over 3 years in to chapters that re-release the game at retail prices each time. Taking these dlc out of the subscription when Wrothgar was basically the size of a chapter release.

It's similar to the phone market that releases the next small upgrade every year to make the next new model appear better than the last. It's smart business practice.

I don't really blame ZOS, they're just developers and they're doing their best. I blame the higher ups in charge, the people dictating profits and shady business practices.

That being said, I'm 100% buying the new chapter and I play the crap out of Neco - they knew this. This is just a tin foil hat idea, but I guarentee you the gaming industry does this all the time.

they do, but "noise threads" outside of the official feedback threads, are subject to ignore.
The more vids you post, the more likely your case can be made for changes.

A good example, is Cinbri's feedback on templar bugs in the class/skill feedback thread. Posts clear explanation of issues, and shows animated gifs showing the issues.

Absolutely but normally only small changes and only every second week so you end up with a balance patch then a bugfix patch then a balance patch then a bugfix patch for a total of 3 balance patches.

It depends. If you're a sorc then yes, they change. If you're somebody else, then no.

I actually play on Xbox but since I started on PC during and briefly after the beta, I've always had an account.

I just never used the PTS before.

Dual wield enchantment nerf is a correction, dual wield or sword and board enchantment was giving more bonus then 2 handed weapons.

Not so sure about that, unless its something groundbreaking, my understanding and experience were that the actual changes in the pts circle are marginal.
