Content drop? lol
They are already down to two dungeon DLCs per year which brings the meaningful content additions to just two per year which is in comparison not very much.
ESO has a ton of content but not because ZOS offers so much new content per year.MasterSpatula wrote: »
Why is basically every other MMORPG handing out new dungeons for free and doesn't shove them into a lame DLC? Not only P2P MMORPGs are handing out new dungeons on a frequent basis, even F2P MMORPGs do so - for free.
ESO is the only MMORPG I know where new dungeons are not part of usual content or expansion releases.

I agree it should be more content, tips make 1 and 2 versions of the new dungeons, 1 would be like the old 2 dungeons while 2 is dlc difficulty. You can reuse most of the art. just new bosses and mechanics.Seraphayel wrote: »Fingolfinn01 wrote: »If zos keeps this content drop ESO will surely be the go to mmo for new players wanting to try out an mmo or mmo players wanting to try out a new mmo

This. They charge for every single thing. Subscription is basically paying for craft bag. Everything else is laughable such as increased xp etc. The way people act like the subscription fee is nothing shows how deluded many are towards making a decent profit versus outright greed.

Except you're crapping on them for charging for the only thing they actually should be making their money off of: New content.
If you make all the new content free and have ZOS make all its money off of the things that sanity says should all be available from in-game activity, then the company will take resources away from the thing that doesn't make them money and put them into the thing that does.
For a person who actually values the RPG content, your priorities are wildly skewed. Content is expensive to make. Reskinning a horse is not. Do not encourage ZOS to put even more emphasis on the wrong department.

This game doesn't offer any substantial content for subscribers. A dungeon DLC is not worth to subscribe for and due to the Chapter nature there is now only one update per year that adds little amounts of real content to the game which is worth the subscription - the Q4 zone DLC.
The overall amount of content this game gets per year is TINY. Compared to its big competitors like Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2 and Black Desert the content updates in ESO aren't even worth mentioning. GW2 has four major updates a year (free!) that come each with a new zone, new raid/dungeon, new in game achievable mounts etc. The same goes for Black Desert. WoW might be P2P but they offer a lot more content in that regard.
The only substantial content ESO gets is - as I said - the Q4 update because the dungeon DLCs aren't even worth mentioning - to hand them out as DLCs is a very cheap way of generating money. Then we have the Chapter which in size is similar to one of the huge updates FFXIV or WoW get per year (for "free", only paid by sub) and in no way comparable to a huge expansion those games offer (which btw. are around 5 times bigger as ESOs Chapter and do cost the same).
