With the Pet Changes are Warden Bears Decent now?

Asking this as I haven't had a chance to test it yet and am wondering.

With the upcoming pet changes is the Bear Ultimate worth slotting now for either PvP or PvE?

I'm mainly asking in terms of PvP as I just love the idea running around fighting with my trusty bear so is it any good or still fairly worthless in PvP?

Two things to note:

Bear was worth (actually best to use) in pve already
They havent changed anything about reasons you wouldnt use it in pvp

No, the bear is about the same, the Atronach is weaker now when you were an Altmer.
They are ultimates and already did scale with all your stats and CP. But you loose around 2k magicka and that is still their main scaling ressource. My Atronach now does a 100 less damage per tick on tooltip.

So no, the bear is really just like it used to be.

Yeah, how is it that a skill that comes with 70% snare, major protection and 8% passive magicka increase is not able to compete in a very specialised race of DPS where "more damage" is the only thing that matters?

I know you are that person with "The Master Plan" but come on now. Common sense.

As long as it has to be both bar slotted then no it is not useful

It will never ever be better than slotting one offensive ult and one defensive ult that can help and the people around you like permafrost or enchanted forest

in our rework ideas. we specifically left permafrost with the stun, snare and major protection and wanted northern to actually be a viable DPS ultimate by completely cutting and/or reducing these effects. the current problem with Northern storm, is it's just a janky way to say "increased spell damage". because when most people use this ultimate, they use it in combination with another ultimate like Comet or Rage. and when you're swapping bars, this magicka essentially gets cut to the backbar's value. keeping only the increased spell damage from the max magicka increase. our idea is to make Permafrost the tanky morph. and northern another DPS ultimate while potentially moving the increased max magicka to a passive. our class has to have so many specific slotted things, and it's great to see that we no longer require a destro staff skill on the front bar.
