I don't even think CP should be account wide.

Twinks? No I don't think so. A new player just like a twink player would still have to level up the skill then have a skill point available. I don't want to sky shard hunt on my alts since I did it already so I would see the difference as a small investment in time. It was fun to find them all :) I already played the entire story line. So I was leveling up some alts for PVP since I don't find this game to have much replay value.

This has no place in a conversation about a game feature. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing that should be considered is: will this proposed feature add to the fun of a sizable portion of the player base without taking away from the fun of other players or breaking the game in some other way?
in this case I think making skill points account wide would basically make all alts into t t twinks. This would definitely make the game suck for new players since they would have to play with the twinked out alts and feel horribly underpowered in comparison.
    A Jesus analogy? LFMAO!

Edit to fix an incorrect reference to a poster.

But a new player will never have enough skill points to unlock all skills available to him/her. If you, on the other hand, start an alt that already has 200+ skill points, you will have faster access to a wide range of skills which you will also be able to morph more quickly.

Skillpoints are like THE EASIEST thing to obtain in this game. You can have 1-2 endgame build with less than 50% of the available points.

    So no.

Do you really think that unlocking several combos of weapon and class abilities along with all available passives at level 1 wouldn't make a new character more powerful? Progression would certainly be faster.

Yes, and I don't see that as a real problem. Both still have to gain enough exp in the skill. Both are still limited by the few skills allowed on the skill bar. I would just like the game to be more alt friendly. My main is now v14 and did all the quests, caldwell gold etc. I don't find a lot of replay value in the story so I wanted to play a different class in pvp. I would also like crafting to be account wide so I don't have to waste my time switching back to my crafting character.

I agree that alts should be easier to level than your first toon. I would prefer to have an experience buff applied to new characters once your first character reaches some milestone.

Alts ARE easier to level. Give them good armor, good food/potions and have them do only the quests that give skill points and get skyshards and watch them go!

I work, have a Wife and Kid, Friends... it would be nice to roll an Alt without having to play the entire game over again to earn skill points. I will just never have time.

For me, if it's a choice between growing bored and unsubbing because playing my main has grown stale and maintaining my interest in the game because it won't take another 100+ hours to level another character...

    The latter wins every time.

I think this topic needs to be revisited. I have 15 characters, and with necromancer coming out, will probably have 18 or more. Having all your skill points at the start of a new character hurts no one other than the very small percentage of people who play in the sub lvl 50 cyrodiil server, which can't be more than a few hundred people. It takes 2 hours to level a character to 50 in this game and weeks to get the skill points. I am desperate for this change as I want to play other classes and experience more of the game, but the grind is so painful.
