Shrouded daggers is the best option since it hits multiple people and it can be used from range. Fits the hit and run playstyle.
As far as your sustain comment, I completely disagree. More like God tier in the right setup.

I will at some point but I havent even leveled the character yet. I need a dedicated PvE dps toon as I'm mostly a PvP'er and they are the only ones that appeal to me right now. I have a stam dk that I'm bored of and dont really want to level a mag dps and farm mages guild when I'm gonna be making 2-3 necro's when they launch

PVP or PVE or solo build? Crushing weapon isn't needed tbh.

I know most stam sorcs run stormfist specifically for the extra regen.

After reading more posts it looks like you’re talking about pve specifically. If that’s the case there’s a few options depending how well you Keep your rotation together. Typically if I’m playing pve on my stam sorc I have rending, caltrops, hurricane and my spammable for dps.

Yea I am speaking about PvE specifically. I need a toon to do dailies on, farm gear sets and possibly even do vMA on

Disagree all you want, but in terms of PvE DPS (which is what OP asked about), Shrouded Daggers just isn't sustainable and stamsorcs have far and away the worst sustain of any stam spec.
I do not understand why anybody has an magic build without an healer setup even if you focus is DD.LittlePinkDot wrote: »Ohhgrizyyy wrote: »Just get crushing weapon.

I bought this game mostly for pvp too. But I needed to make a pve character to farm gear. Ive discovered that making a healer is the best for farming pug dungeons. I practically get in right away. Trying to get in as a dps is painfully slow.
And what a real nice bonus is that I discovered I can use my pve argonian templar as a pvp healer too! And you can buff your groups damage and stats. I got so much AP this midyear mayhem. Just gotta stay in a large group and try not to attract too much attention because wearing divines makes one squishy.

Stam sorc is the only class you can pull off less than 1000 regen in pvp and pve and still be viable because of dark deal. Stam DK is somewhat up there in terms up low sustain builds too. Sounds like an experience and resource management issue.

What stam sorc runs dark deal in a trial.

I was talking about normal content. That’ll just add to my point because it should be even easier to sustain on any class in a trial. Pve sustain is pretty simple in general but I understand there’s some people that struggle in that area. As a pvp player it comes much easier to me, especially since I mostly play no cp.

One fast dungeon access, second is fake healer, 3rd is zerging in PvP.
No it don't need to be bis, just something who works decently enough as in healing staff of the destro staff set.

its a bit ironic that an trial set works extremely well on trash but is pretty hopeless burning hard bosses without adds.
Now an interesting part is that in the new meta is that Khajiit and Dunmer probably want other gear than the pure stamina races because low sustain, this is also true for magic.
Using gear to argument race is an good design.
And dark deal is legitimate as an crutch if healer don't give enough resources.
HA on DW is also pretty fast if clipping it (some do this by macro)
If you don't want crushing weapon, then you can get by with just rending slashes and/or shrouded daggers. Dark deal is a great sustain booster, and contrary to opinion, I've seen it used in trials. But, an important part of learning a pve class is how to manage sustain and develop a sustainable rotation. The best rotation is the one you develop on your own - one that gives you the highest sustainable dps. A copy/paste set up and rotation from YouTube or a website, while very good, may not be right for your playstyle or experience level.
