How am I supposed to stand a chance against people when I get hard CCd while blocking their attacks, and then get my head beat in while I pinned to the ground? What kind of dumb azz fighting mechanic is this?

✭You likely got hit with fear, fossilize or rune cage. Those are hard ccs that go through block1 -

There was once a need to counter permablocking so zos buffed/created several counters to it. Then ZoS made perma blocking impossible. And now we have a mess of things that are more or less effective than they should be due to the series of shortsighted changes that characterize the patch cycles of this game.
Also like in BGs give up on 1v4ing anybody no-cp ain't like that.2 -

✭Why can you attack while blocking? The answer is the same, bad game design. In this case, the first bad design (attacking while blocking) is countered with another bad design (CC while blocking) instead of being fixed correctly. This is the essence of the Wobbler's method of combat balance.I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.1 -

I 1v8 in BGs on my DK. In fact I was playing with a zerg in Sotha yesterday...Good thing ZOS is nerfing everyone; life will be easier for me, ROFL.1
