12 Reasons of Why Class Change Token is Needed

There are already tons of dicussions about most desired Class Change Token. Here's my 12 Reasons of Why we need that with upcoming Elsweyr Chapter:

Most of us have at least one Magicka Sorcerer that we dreamed as a Necromancer. It's time to re-class that good old mage and join the dark side!
Character slots are simply not enough and even if you add more slots, it will never be enough for my future Stamina Necromancer, Magicka Necromancer, Healer Necromancer, Tank Necromancer, PvP Necromancer, Good Guy Necromancer...
Endless possibilities of builds. That's right! I'm the one who you see in dungeons as stamina healer, or that tank with ice staff. I'm the rogue, I like going into theorycrafting and execute it!
We may need that not only for changing into Necromancer, but also for other classes too. Yeah most of us did the same mistake when we first created our main character which supposed to be another class but it's far too late.
My main is a crafter which I invested tons of golds and crowns but I always wanted that to be a Necromancer.
Even if I don't really need it, my friend needs it. I'd like to gift them a class change token because, why not?
I know a guy who knows a guy which is a retired player but will return for class change token for obvious reasons.
Some of us may don't need it but they may need in the future. ESO is full of endless possibilities.
There are tons of Mannimarco imposters with the same ol' costume out there! Let them buy couple of class change tokens.
Hype is real! I already feel it in my heart. So this is a good opportunity to strike us down with your trap card: Class Change Token!
Remember the guy who needs class change token? I'm the guy!
Profit!? I'm already here to spend good amount of "Crowns" for that, and even buy more! Imagine all the players who needs to sink their "Crowns" into it.

P.S: I also think a Class Change Token should be given with Elsweyr Chapter bundle.

Level another character if you want to experience another class. All I have to say about it. Only valid point might be 5. but this is basically the same in every MMORPG so...

(btw make achievements etc. account bound)

The thing is I already have 13 Champion characters spent at least 100 hours each and 2 other slots is simply not enough.

I usually level another character to experience the class, but then even if I really love that class I go back to my sorc main because 1) skill points, 2) alliance ranks, 3) guild skill lines leveled, 4) crafting, 5) achievement points, 6) gold/mats for good gear 7) crafting 8) titles, 9) laziness, 10) familiarity.

Looking forward to their back flip on this. Meanwhile my subscription is still on hold.

Yep, easier to pump out grindy daily quests and dungeons with every mechanic in the book thrown in than it is to actually improve the base game. They are only really interested in catering to new players and a few high tier players/guilds anyway. Dedicated long term players that would make use of alliance or character change tokens obviously don't make them enough money.

I think there's plenty of us out there. I want to play warden, have no interest in replaying content. Give me a class change token so I can make my warden and be done with it.

See? Thank you! Now give them a class change token because they are willing to pay for it. Also if they return to game like that, they might gonna buy Elsweyr and all other stuff like Crown Store cosmetics. Here's a potential customer and this will make even more money for ZOS while we became happy.

And don't come over with "Nooo, they said that ain't gonna happen!" because they said a lot of things that won't gonna happen but in fact they did. #1 is dragons which also Rich confessed that he said there won't be any dragons in ESO back in 2012, and here we are. Also I remember a lot of things from 7 years ago, things can change. So why not Class Change Token?

Well I don't think it would be difficult, maybe programing respects to give all class skillpoints back to the player. And allow the class change the same as name change. I think they are hesitant for several reasons, balance people will just go to the meta. Making ones class feel cheap. It would kill class diversity if everyone is respecting to be a templar from a sorc or warden to dk or dk to warden.. It could be coding that makes it difficult I think it was difficult maybe to add in the name change/ race change option. I'm sure they could in fact do it but then I don't think they want to do it because of reasons I mentioned balance meta switching complete destruction of class diversity. Instead they are giving us all a free character slot. And will be adding in more us to buy. But I don't think we will see class change anytime soon if ever.

They will already give us all race change tokens for every character, plus a free character slot (Elsweyr only I think).

There should be a class change token because sometimes the implemented changes effectively remove your chosen role from your class. (Think back to Morrowind & Templar/NB tanks)

If things like that did not happen or they were looked at immediately rather than years later it would not be such an issue.

Well in FFXIV you could change your class ANY time for FREE.

OP ignored what is likely the reason we do not have and will not have class change. It is likely a business reason and any business reason would trump everything on that list.

Zos makes pretty good bank off alts. People by mount training, new mounts, new costumes, storage unlock and maybe even a new home. It does not matter if you are one that would not spend crowns on any of this. Zos needs to look at the big picture which is really looking at the bank account.

BTW, that guy who will return only for a class change token is not likely to be around long anyhow. If he left the game using the lack of a class change token as an excuse then they clearly are not that into the game. So we should not really care about them. They would not stick around long.

A lot of the reasons are equally weak and some are just down right cheesy. Manimarco costumes. lol

13 - My main is a crafter AND a Bosmer, that I always played as master thief. Now that stealth is gone for the Bosmers, and considering I will NEVER change her into a Khajiit (every costume and cosmetic item I ever got was with her in mind), I might as well remake her as something else. A stam warden, for instance.

I personally think the class change token is not available because of database reasons. We don't know how it's done, but I'm pretty sure it's a mess. Changing class may be possible, but not as easily as a name or race change, so it would mean extra work for them specifically for that.

While I wouldn't mind one my self but under no such delusions do I actually believe they are going to do it same can be said for faction change tokens.

Those who want them can list as many reasons as they want all day long the reality is this it isn't going to happen either it would require zos to put in too much work to make it happen or they just cant do it for whatever reason end of the day it doesn't matter which it is.

While people are welcome to keep asking for them for the next 6 months I wouldn't bank on it happening like ever lol.

I think the meta-balance and business concerns would both be mitigated, or even outweighted, by selling class change tokens at a steep price.

How about 10.000 crowns?

So only people who *really* want to do the change... or they get to milk whales!

A new character slot is much cheaper, and levelling a new character to 50 is much, much faster than getting enough gold to buy 10000 crowns. So they'll still profit off alts, while also having a new source of income from longterm dedicated players...

I wont even try to earn again 30k+ achievs points on my alts as it is nonsense and I would dont ahve time to do anything other if I even wanted to do it..

yeah atleast if they would make achievs account bound then I wont need that much to class change on my main

btw my main is NB which is in very very good spot in pve since morrowind...so almost 2 years? and I would want to change it into templar or dk which is really far away from meta (stamina player)

In the back of my head, I am thinking to myself that they are basically answering with a firm "NO" to something that could give them quite a boon in both Crown Store revenue and player approval. That is not something I would consider to be a lightly made decision. If they are saying "NO", they have solid reasons. That is good enough for me. I don't need to know why.
