RIP Spellcrafting
P.S.: what the hell is ZOS working on? Elsweyr offers less features than Morrowind or Summerset and none of the DlCs seems to add a significant gameplay update either.
Like many, I consider the lack of Spellcrafting to be a pretty bad thing. It's one of the most requested features since the game came out, and certainly now is the most requested feature now that they're bringing Necromancers as a class.
But not having Spellcrafting isn't the worst thing. There was no mention at all of getting any new kind of crafting compared to the last two years which brought us jewelrycrafting and transmutation.
And there was no mention of getting any new kind of game system, like the previous years were we got the Outfitting system and Player Housing. And no, ui tweaks to the guild vendors and region maps doesn't count as a new feature.
Lack of new features and new systems is a sure sign of decline in a game.

I really happy about necromancer but damn 2019 could of been the golden year. I was hyped because I expected massive changes to Cyrodiil and spellcrafting.... i might actually take a year off and start over as a necromancer once they really refresh the game and not just keep adding quests, trials and dungeons. I want more sand in the box aka more features and systems.

I bet they consider the Guild Finder a new game system. That's something we've never had before (as opposed to an upgrade of an existing feature like the vendor changes)

So, ZOS doesn't get a year to do performance upgrades? Rich talked about it.
1. Seperation of imperial city from open world pvp.
2. Necromancer class
3. New 5 boss full trial with hardmode on each boss.
4. Two new overlapping dungeon leading to a new type of encounter.
5. Adding necro awareness to pve npc, overarching justice system.
6. New zone with lore.
7. Introducing dragons from lore.
8. Racial balancing pass.
That is in the first 6 months of this year.

Rich did say they are attempting some performance fixes so maybe they did listen and that is taking the place of some of the playable content.
Hopefully so, because if they aren't working on performance fixes then what ARE they working on? Because without new features, this is looking like their weakest year yet. Looking at what was added in the last two years helps put it into perspective:
They didn't really say anything about Q3 or Q4 so graphs like this are a bit unfair.

The level of negativity is insane in this small corner of the playerbase.
We do not get full trials every year.we have gotten two mini trials and an arena. This is a new take on trials.
Removing ic from main world pvp will give you actual pop caps and more than likely will increase overworld performance.
Adding necro awareness to npcs is a new system, even if you dont like it.
So, basically the people who are butt hurt they dont get a system that would allow them to break the game are crying about it.
Also saying "we get that in other updates" is dumb, so because you have seen something along the same lines, this update fails? Why do you need new systemsor crafting or whatever on every update? You are that bored with the game the only thing that would keep you is another massive grind fest for something you would get bored with soon anyway?
Silly arguments.

You all realize that they have more to say what is upcoming at E3 as they stated during the live feed.

Balance has always been an issue and will always be an issue, with or without Spellcrafting.
To be fair, I'd say the Cyrodiil changes are pretty big as a whole (Imperial City subzone, Daedric artifact system, performance boost), but most people don't consider that a big factor because PVE is more popular. For Cyrodiil-focused players though, this year has a lot of potential.Seraphayel wrote: »1. Seperation of imperial city from open world pvp.

There's just one feature and it's 2. All the other things are NO features to advertise a Chapter (or expansion) with.
