Full Elsweyr land expansion

Does anyone know if zos said they are releasing all of elsweyr (the rest of it), or just a part of it. During the stream, this photo was used right before they started talking about the expansion.

It seems like they are missing the rest.

They're not releasing all of it. They showed an ingame map where the Southern part of Elsweyr was still not turned into a zone.

Okay, yeah that's what i thought. I imagined it would be like summerset, where they would release the whole area. Thanks!

But they spoke of going to explore the Forest part sd well, so, as they said its the whole Year, first 2 Dungeons, then the Northern Half as chapter, then 2 dungeons then a Storyland/quest, maybe the southern Halfe?

Quin'rawl Peninsula was supposed to be in base game in concept. Maybe they will add part of it in Q4 story DLC and rest with some other content.

Halls of Colossus mentioned in the Twitch is supposed to be there.

To be fair, it doesn't look THAT small when you project it on a properly positioned flat map.

But still, it isn't remotely whole. This is not Elsweyr, it's merely Anequina - which ceased to exist almost 300 years ago when it merged with other kingdoms to form Elsweyr Confederacy. (do you want to know more?)
The Reaper's March is already in game; other regions - Pellitine (the middle part), Tenmar Forest (the southernmost part, covered with jungle) and Quin'rawl Peninsula (the tail) are missing.

How much does one have to pay to get the whole thing?

I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that we're not getting all of Elsweyr with the Chapter.

But, at the same time, it does allow for more detail to be put into the province if it's like this. I guess Rimmen wouldn't be looking nearly as good if it was the whole of Elsweyr, after all. Maybe at a later date more of Elsweyr will be released, and maybe then it won't need to have Dragons taking the spotlight of the story and it can focus more on Khajiit culture for the main quest.

Pre-outrage gameplan is very wise. That being said, there are some pretty awesome unaccessible areas in the newer DLCs if you can get to them.

Yeah exactly, as long as we don't have to pay for another expansion for Elsweyr then i'm happy, lol.

Its way too much on the west/North imo and i Will be really curious how they manage it when some south cyrodiil dlc comes in the Future ;D

Hall of Colossus and Numidium seems a legit way to relate with Tiber Septim and entwine whole ESO story into established lore.
Tharn dreams about finding Dwemer Colossus eager to use it and end the Interregnum, but ultimately the Tribunal take it and give it to General Talos as part of the Armistice.

I'm actually relieved they're not including the entire province. It's far too big for a single map, so if they did it would likely be scaled down a lot. This way hopefully we'll have a decently sized map for the expansion and the possibility of more to come later on.

I'm a bit disappointed we don't get to see the Tenmar forest, since that's where I decided my khajiit is from...but then she did say she's never going home again so I guess it could be a bit awkward if it was in the game. (I already have an alt who can't ever go to Valenwood and that gets tricky sometimes, it would be much worse with my main character.)

Rich said the Tenmar forest was included. Maybe it's a public dungeon in the south?

Another reason not to preorder the game. The dungeons are a missed opportunity to me since I don't find people willing to teach and be patient with newbies or not having the DPS they believe everyone should have.

Probably better this way, in parts. If it was like Summerset it'd be filled with impassable terrain and have missing cities.

Time for serious post.

I didn't notice that map in the reveal, I didn't notice a lot of things actually, but this is quite a big deal. Morrowind gave us the entire island of Vvardenfell, Summerset gave us the entire Summerset Isle, but now we only get half of Elsweyr. I am in favour of smaller zones giving us better scaled content, but this just seems like a scam.

At no point is it suggested we will only visit half of Elsweyr. That map is completely misleading. As for releasing the rest of the region in the future, that sounds silly to me. It looks too large to be a DLC zone, and "Elsweyr 2" would be ridiculous.

You will get the Southern part of Elsweyr reduced to Clockwork City or Murkmire size (which means like 1/3 of what it should have been) and have to sub to even play it.

So the Chapter called Elsweyr only offers you half of Elsweyr.

I hope there is clarification on the map soon. I remember seeing the zone flash by real quick in the presentation and being confused how they are going to incorporate the Northern desert and Tenmar Forest in a map area that looks to be exclusively Northern Elsweyr, especially since they said that both regions would appear.

Before the announcement, what remained of Elsweyr, looked to be just the right size for a chapter DLC so it’s kinda odd that the map we saw just looks like half of it.

I always thought Summerset and Vvardenfell were empty or padded like the mountains or Sheogorad. Hopefully splitting Elsweyr makes it better.

I rather have half and proper size instead of full and scaled down. Summerset just seems so small. It should be what two or three times bigger than Auridon but to me Auridon feels bigger than Summerset.

So having half the at proper size is the best thing to do. After all Vvardenfell seems pretty small as well and not as big as I "think" it should feel if that makes sense.

Elsweyr can allways add more later. Sadly for places like Summerset and Vvardenfell now they really can't add more unless they do a wipe and start them over again.
