Justice System for using Necromancy in Towns Confirmed

As per today's stream, due to Necromancy being seen as universally reviled across Tamriel, they stated they will be adding using necromantic skills in town to the justice system. Use too much of it in town and expect a beatdown from the guards!

Nice to see they are trying to be as lore friendly as possible when adding them to the class options.

Additionally, for those worried about more pets blocking crafting stations and writ drop-offs, they described necromantic summons as "drop and forget" and elaborated that they decay over time.

    Now if only we can convince them that sorcerer daedric summons should also be something that NPC's aren't overly fond of. Maybe they will call over some guards to help deal with that infestation.

    Honestly, that would be a good thing if they worked that in. Have the guards enforce sorcs putting their dang matriarchs away so they aren't pestering everyone by blocking stations or the banker.

    Perhaps they wander over to the caster and ask them politely to put them away. 5 second timer. If they refuse, they can deal with the law.

    In all fairness they should also enforce curbing your bear.

    I know many wouldn't like it, but I hope they work vamps and werewolves into it also. I thought it was so weird people (myself included) could walk right into town with glowing vamp eyes and pale skin or in full werewolf form. It would be easy to keep the reactions to only when transformed or in the last vamp stage.

    I think it's brilliant. I love how they're implementing this.

    My one reservation about it is that necromancers will have a difficult time doing the city of Daggerfall quests and some other city quests, where you have to kill enemies in town limits. But that's really ok. It's totally worth it for such an awesome addition to the game. I don't need to do the Daggerfall quest-line with my necromancer, anyway. I've already done it.

    *Edit* Actually, it occurs to me that they can just use their destruction staff skills or melee weapon skills by themselves while they're in towns. So yeah ... it won't be an issue at all.

    but he did also say that despite this, they do want necromancers to be able to do and finish quests. So they're not going to incapacitate them completely.

    Daedra summoning isn't forbidden or "evil". Many mages do it. Even Vanus Galerion do this.
    (but I don't like sorc pets in towns, yes, though I play mostly sorcs)

    We'll need hiding of vampirism then (at least for 1 stage, better 1 and 2 - second may be a bit visible but not enough for guards to detect while not speaking with them). That'll be nice thing.

    And yeah, was very funny to do Glenumbra quests with werewolf...
