Well I think you did well starting the EU Maintenance at 3BST however I would still advice EU Maintenance to happen mid week at mid day is a good time.

After you finished the maintenance and patching you added a authorization check on the accounts which is a good idea but you don't want that on when the server is coming back up at EU prime time you overloaded your email servers which is the fault of the time you choose to add that feature in.

The patch does not seem to have been tested well enough as you have brought it out it is stopping hundreds of players from even connecting. It is kicking players when the teleport using fast travel or way shrines.

A large amount of people have lost there guilds and friends list some even there banks.

Even worse after doing this to the EU Server you have gone ahead and done it on the NA Server now ........

Rookie Mistakes

But other than the above you have done well with your launch, just need more communication and more testing before you bring out a new build.

No one will be happy with maintenance as it always upsets someone in the world.

Stop making them revolve around you.

Stop making them revolve around you.

Was not asking them to revolve around me but they should take a note from other successful mmos for example Eve Online they have maintenance every day for 30 min to an hour at mid day Iceland time no one complains because it's mid afternoon for most country's and others it's early in the morning.

Then from that they could use extended maintenance to add patches and fix issues.
