Cyrodiil siege equipment, hard to aim or just me?

Anyone else think the siege equipment placing and aiming is very clunky and hard to see where you're aiming? I do.

Any tips on how to see better? It always seems to show a camera angle like way behind the siege and not where i need to see lol

Honestly I just adapted to the bad camera angle, and was always much more careful in where I placed the siege equipment. More or less, it's something you will become more comfortable with after doing it multiple times, trial and error in placement.

I only have trouble with catapults. I wish they would have the same view as ballista's. Right now you are directed right behind them. Fine when you are sieging at ground level. But you cant see *** when sieging from a wall or hill with catapults.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

LOL, put up an trebucket and my field of view was blocked by an tree :)
And its heavy weapons, you find that the trebuckets are lumbering while the balistas are pretty nimble hitting high or low target with them are an issue however.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yes sometimes those trees block vision.

At times, but I usually figure it out. I just recently started using meatbags. Those give me a hard time while inside a keep trying to defend. Still haven't figured that one out yet to get a good LOS

The meatbag, scattershot etc catapults camera angles suck. I hate using them.

You can adjust the camera angle by zooming in and out.

Yeah balistas are the easiest to aim and lay down. Catapults are easy to put down but the angles really suck and can be hard to aim for sure. Trebs are a little harder to find a place to put down bc of size but I feel like the zoom is a lot better for aiming. Now Camps are a pain in the ass to put down bc of the size of flat ground needed. Playing for many years you just kinda know depending on the keep where you can lay one down.

I find putting the damage where it hovers n your screen is helpful that way you can see when you are hitting something especially with catapults and balistas it helps a lot. Aim for the largest area of players and the more damage you see poping up on the screen i know i'm hitting the right spot. Plus when aiming for walls and doors you know balistas hit for 2k and trebs for 4-5k a hit so you know your hitting it.

To make myself feel better I just assume medieval siege was never very accurate to begin with so it never really frustrated me to much lol. You just get use to it.

Siege is an absolute pain in the ass. It's no wonder people are reluctant to siege at keeps.

Targeting is clunky. Crosshairs jump from spot to spot never landing over the spot you want to aim at. Once you do get the spot just right the ammo goes flying over the targets head, or lands too far in front of them. It's totally random. Everything in this game is F'ing random it's so annoying.

It's bad enough you have one-hit NB wonders running around dealing out executes in under a second, but it takes FOREVER to stow a siege weapon, and there's no way to mitigate any damage while you bend over to put your siege away (and I literally and figuratively mean BEND OVER). This timer needs to be lessened or eliminated.

For the most part I have gotten used to it, but these are the two main things that just annoy the *** out of me about siege in PvP.

Trees or other stuff behind you blocking you from seeing.
The trebuchet itself blocking you from seeing where you aim.
Crenellations or the edge of the tower blocking your view.
Walls blocking you from seeing whether you hit the target or aim behind it.
The target snapping so you can either aim behind where you want to hit, or to some thing directly in front of you, but not the actual enemy.
    It's a constant struggle. :D

Oils. Set them up and then have absolutely no idea if actually pouring over people below unless you seriously mess around with the camera angles. Frustrating.

The biggest help for me is the combat text scroll. For obstructed views I try and aim best I can, then after firing I swing the camera up and to the side to look for white or orange numbers to pop. If yes, return to home, using visual markers, and fire on the same spot. If no, adjust slightly and try again.

By the amounts I can tell if I hit walls or siege, static amounts, or if I hit players. If there is lingering damage, it will trail players as they run and I can aim for them even if I can't see them behind a wall or tree.

After enough practice, aiming becomes second nature. I can put a treb on the middle landing of keep stairs and hit players on the outer wall tower. It's usually a safe spot unless your enemy is just as adept at aiming.

Try exiting from the equipment, then standing someplace different (move from the back to standing under the weight at the front on a treb) it can sometime help your camera angle

    Bring back ballista impact scatter!

....I do find it hard to aim in certain situations. Typically firing at a downward angle is wonky and sensitive, and trying to land a treb shot on the horseshoe of a keep from odd angles and be really touchy.
