Midyear Mayhem started 20 minutes ago, and Vivec is already lagged to heck

    This afternoon, lag wasn't as bad as Vivec, and was intermittent... but any time you started fighting a large group ping shot through the roof.

    I'm taking a PvP break and doing dungeons for exp. I expect people who don't normally pvp will group into super blobs and with siege nerfed it will be laggy mess.

    Okay this is a simple solution honestly. Just join lower pop campaign instead of waiting in a que. if you are waiting in a que then that means that the server is maxed and you need to wait for space to fit you, just go somewhere else with your group.

    This has been happening for a long time where everyone tries to squeeze into one campaign and wonders why it can’t take it. We, as PvP’ers, need to try something else. We need to try something as a community, if a campaign has a que then you and your group just go to a different campaign. It must be taxing on servers to always be loading players in, while doing it in the right order, and deciding what offlines get kicked to make room.

    Same here, I was in Shor and Sotha and had no lag problems at all. Skills were fine. Combat bug still sucks but overall I didn’t lag and one time I was using a crappy PC.

    It is enormously unfair to run an event in Cyrodiil, the resulting game breaking performance issues really adversely affect the enjoyment of everyone who usually plays the game for PVP.
    PVE events don't have the same affect on the PVE population at all, the disproportionate affect on PVP is really unfair.
    With PVP being in such a fragile state as it is, adding in an event is just terrible planning, especially adding it during a campaign that hasn't even finished yet - WTAF are they thinking?

    The 500+ Queue yesterday is just a joke. I queued for an hour before logging out entirely.
    As someone who only really PVPs, this event has practically locked me out of the game for its duration. I get more and more irritated with this game every month it seems.

    Did you really expect anything different being in the Vivic campaign? Go to one of the other ones to play.

    Jeeez, that que is enough to populate atleast 2 servers, BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS AND SPREAD OUT.

    I would be very happy to 'spread out' if the campaign had ended, but it hasn't.

    This. People apparently prefer to unsuccessfully stack into their main, laggy campaigns instead of temporarily switching and, you know, being able to actually play

    I'm as critical of ZOS as anyone, but the players have been badly exposed by this event. There's no reason for the shameless faction stacking.

    Today on PC/NA/Vivec, EP has emp, EP has a DC scroll, yet for almost the entire day most of the activity has been focused on the south and west of the map for no good reason. While EP stacks @ alessia, DC goes and pvdoors keeps.

    If DC would actually push EP, they wouldn't be able to ruin the server with their hideous stacks. I write all of this knowing AD does the same at different times.

    After this particular stretch was over, we had to pvdoor 8 home objectives, only one of which was lost to contested fight -- vs all of EP. Is that why we're in Cyrodiil? To PVE?

    The leaders in this community need to step up.

    Exactly, imagine if all those players (I assume EP and AD's que wasn't much better) went into some of the other campaigns... fights would be better.

    Look at it this way, wait in that insane que and never get to PvP in Vivec. Take your guild into another campaign, actually get to PvP but not in Vivec. You're not gaining alliance spots messing around in PvE land waiting for the que to pop right? So just move onto another campaign as a guest. That "campaign hasn't ended" kind of logic is flawed.

    they need to reimburse people who cant get the event tickets from not being able to get in to pvp area. Not everyone has time to wait 3-4 hours to get in. I was waiting 2 hours from 174th spot at non peak hours. Ridiculous. I have been getting 2-3 hour wait time for which ever campaign, not just vivec.

    You can do bg quests for tickets. Bg queue will break your cyro queue though
