Go do the activity for your tickets and suck it up. I didn't really like going back and forth doing new year quests, but I did them for my tickets (:

You can just do a PVE Town quest daily and you're good. :)

Just be careful. Gankers will be at those towns in force picking you pve'ers off. I should know, i was one them last year. And i made a bomber just for such an occasion. Keep your head on a swivel and don't group up too close.

ZO$ know that there will be hundreds, if not thousands, of PVE players who will flat out not want to PVP, and many more who will be driven away from trying by the gankers who are gathering in force specifically for this event.

Solution? Sell the tickets in the Crown Store. Of course, ZO$ wouldn't be that mercenary, would they...?

    ...oh, wait. :(

I mean... every time I've gone for skyshards inside the gates of other alliances in Cyrodil there was at least one person stealthing there with express purpose of killing you before you could finish grabbing that skyshard.

That is because your alliance attacked and opened the gate to start with and are an enemy in their territory.
Most will let you grab the shard before killing you some will not.
Suggest you stealth and use detect pots to make sure it is clear when approaching a shard inside a gate.

Now you know how PvP players feel when they have to farm PvE activities to get their gear.
Ye... Only this is a complete bull.
It's absolutely obvious that most of the time the reasons why players don't like PvE and PvP are completely different.
PvE could be grindy and therefore boring for some players. But that could be easily overcome by most players because it's MMORPG. You just don't play MMORPG and expect to completely avoid any grind at all. People that can't stand it don't play MMORPG usually.
But most people don't like PvP because is stressful, unpleasant, demanding. Because it's kind of the aim of PvP - being a maximum level problem and pain for other players. Of course some people can show a little restraint, but still a conflict is a core of PvP. While for PvE it's some continued process or even cooperation with other players.
So no, it's not even closely the same thing and problem.

I mean, you're not entirely wrong. There are different types of players. The PvE "Achievers" and RPer types who just want a fancy new mount for collection or concept may be put off by Cyrodiil's PvP "killers". They have no sense for that sort of gameplay. To them it must seem like being ask to walk into a sea of sharks. It can't be help, even if someone points out a sand bar you can walk out to at low tide, they just won't risk the grief and humiliation.

    https://youtu.be/yxpW2ltDNow

So if you won't take advice like, " run a scout mission at off hours," or you won't seek help from a seasoned veteran in your guild or friends list, then your only option is to plan around the event.

P.S. if you've never even entered Cyrodiil, you may be able to earn a box just doing the intro quest or Welcome to Cyrodiil tutorial on a new character each day.

Now it can be some enemy who is also after the skyshard but sneak up, see an enemy player and attack.
Lurking at an skyshard sound very boring to me as its not that many enemies going after it compared to hunting enemies riding up to an siege. Yes its probably easier picking but solo players riding are very often in unorganized sieges or surfing on an zerg to.

    Yeah, last Midyear Mayhem event
    was running PVE town dailies
and would see players from other alliances running around doing quests as well
    and never got attacked

it was particularly discouraging, as by the end of the event
had to run up to enemy players and /playdead for them to kill me to get my free port back to friendly territory

got a ton of the Pelinal boxes tho

A seasoned friend offered me help for the event, since I hadn't the +12 tickets.

Everyone has his or her own approach to pvp, but me sincerely, "Elder Scrolls" and "Pvp" are terms I use separately.
This Mayhem event I never did, and I doubt I do it again without friends, even if they offer a superhorse or whatever.

    Thanks everyone for responses.

Eh, rather than type the whole thing again, I'll just leave my advice here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/5715000/#Comment_5715000

Many folks seem to be under the impression that Cydrodiil is the only way to get the tickets, and it's not helping that others are feeding the notion instead of offering alternatives, which is Battlegrounds. Hit 'P' while you're in the game and click on Battlegrounds. You queue it like a dungeon.

While yes, you still have to pvp in Battlegrounds, there's a clear objective and thus most ppl are more focused on that objective than you (that is, IF they want to win).

I'll be happily sharing info on the Battlegrounds so my guildmates and friends can do the dailies, get their tickets, and walk out, and let Cyrodiil and its natives divide lag and frustration among itself.

I go to Cyro for the fun of grouping and taking keeps and resources, and I do BGs to farm crystals and RftW. Can't be bothered to care about alliance or any of that junk :/

But hey, that's just me. (:

You sound like you feel entitled to have unfettered access to all content without any challenges presented by other players, only monsters. I don't get that; It's a conflict zone, and if you read the lore for the period in which the events of ESO take place, it's an integral part of the storyline. Besides, it's really not that hard to be more careful and stealth, too.

If you are not a PVP player and want an easy way to earn tickets, grab a scout quest, use the transitus to fast travel to the closest keep held by your faction, hop on your mount, ride to the destination, jump off into stealth when you arrive, complete the quest, run to some guards for a quick death, rez at the quest board gate and turn it in for your tickets. No PVP combat is necessary and the entire ordeal can be completed faster than running the normal FG I dungeon.

Berries are only available DURING the Event on which they are first introduced. After the Event they will be removed from the Impresario NPC.

So IF you want the Indrik, you have to participate in the Event, doin a PVP Daily scout quest is actually very easy....time costly but easy ;)

All Q1 berries will be available through the quarter of their released, so the Dawnwood Berries of Bloom will be available during all of Q1. At the end of the quarter they will be removed from the Impressario’s stocks, as said in the announcement article

Right - the first berry becomes available during Midyear Mayhem, but it will be available to purchase when the Impresario returns for the second event of Q1, where a new berry will also be introduced. You have to purchase all 4 berries by the end of the 4th event of Q1, when all berries will be removed, but you can purchase the first berry during the second Q1 event.

So, you can skip this event entirely, which I will probably do. I have 3 extra feathers in my bank, with 7 event tickets in my inventory, so I'll be able to earn enough tickets during the second event to buy 2 berries (the first from Mayhem and the new one from the second event).

LOL - NO ONE likes the grind of these festival event dailies. PvE and PvP alike had to suck it up and do boring quests every day for their event tickets.

Sure, I can handle doing that boring grind better than going in and immediately dying in Cyrodiil, but don't assume that PvErs LOVE to do those daily boring quests. We just suck it up JUST LIKE PVPers in order to get those tickets. I also sucked it up and did dungeons every day to get those tickets - I don't do dungeons normally either.

Fact is, all players have to suck it up and do various events/activities they actually don't enjoy in order to get the rewards ZOS dangles at us.

I won't be participating in this event, most likely, because I know there will be campers everywhere and I just don't want to deal with it. My choice, to be sure. I believe that ZOS will provide enough tickets from the other events to at least buy the berries, if not more feathers.

And don't tell me that PvPers have never complained about having to go into dungeons or do VDSA to get gear. There are such complaints in this thread.

Thankfully I had 10 extra tickets from the last event and thankfully I don’t want the Dawnwood Indrik.

I feel ya op, pvp is terrible. Even when I win it’s terrible.

Eliminate group queue for Battlegrounds during the event and it might be less terrible.

In past midyear mayhem events, they opened up new campaigns. These end up mostly empty with one faction controlling the entire map. If you have a character on that faction you can do daily quests in the towns pretty easily. If not, you can still do them, just pick ones away from the factions starting area. Use stealth and rapid to avoid people as much as possible.

Scouting missions will be even easier because it'll be some random resource that will likely be far from where any players will be.

If one faction owns the map, expect the players in that faction to be hanging around the gate keeps (or gates) looking for people to pick off as they move into the area.

One other solution is to get a group of other people who just want tickets to join you. Gankers are looking for easy targets, not groups of people.

If your in a campaign with a lot of fighting, the easiest to complete is kill enemy players. Get into a large group and anytime someone kills a player you get credit. Can complete it in minutes if there are larger battles going on.

Which is what I did. I don't and won't pvp - at least not until forced to by circs FAR beyond my control. Plan ahead. Look at upcoming events, figure out what you can deal with without having conniptions, get extra tickets in events you can stand.
