give athletics something that reduces snare effectiveness

I request you address that movement is an important part of combat by giving me something that takes a 70% snare down to 40% at least.
try appending to the athletics skill and making a helf passive (kidding about altmer passive btw js I don't use any of them)
you can get snared rooted and stunned by the same player over 2 seconds but removing all that takes at least 4...
movement speed is hard to build for and can be viewed as the only aspect of combat that can be sapped with 0 resistance or recourse

    That would be a 57% snare reduction buff by zos current coding... While snare reduction would help you against large snares it would still leave you vulnerable to small more common snares as it for example would only reduce a 40% snare to 19% instead of negating it... only snare reduction sources in the game now are Icy Aura 15% Grace 4-28% and the Rangers Gait set 50%... we either need more sources of stackable snare reduction or a change to its calculation (additive rather than multiplicative) so that it’s not useless against most snares

    I would suggest an edit to this sentence to make it a request. Zos tends to moderate threads that make demands for what is probably an obvious reason of civility.

    it gets exponentially harder to do that with each roll and snares are spammable!
    why not make casting a snare exponentially more expensive with each cast?

    you know steed equates to minor expedition as well. If you are a stam sorc, you should be good to go.

    Otherwise just use sprint (30+40% = roughly 70%)

    70% debuff on my major expedition + sprint is practically jogging. anything above 40% snare is unsalvageable if you can't remove it and have sustain to sprint away...I'm not a dedicated tank but I have 2 pieces of reinforced HA high enough crit resist and try to keep HoT up...
    balancing the need for HoT that's built into the game just to mitigate easily proccable ranged dot, have some kind of snare remover and still be expected to sprint ... that's doing 3 things at once on top of roots and stuns, which sure give cc invuln but it's a double edged sword because you can't cc a group of 3 ppl putting dps on you unless you rotate the cc, so that 1 is down wait 2.5 seconds cc the next and wait 2.5 seconds and cc the next, any way you're wasting additional resources on an ineffective counter...still it's 2.5 ppl putting dps on me (the stun is very brief because obviously they're at full sustain because sustain isn't affected by range...imagine if spamming gapclose had the same penalty that spamming dodge roll does...it would be less broken.

    in this game you're heavily penalized for trying to be fast and evasive but dps is always viable because nerf hurts feelings or something...
    like the ppl who only play to max dps because they have bloodlust are somehow more easily triggered than people who want to survive when focusing on nothing but surviving...*thonks*

    I got whispered a trash *** for having a 1:3 kd in a ctr that we won, I called him out for being noob and then he ignores me...
    I couldn't even tell who it was from: @NuclearTomato...I was paying attention to character names and whispers don't show character names...weird asf

    anyways the rant is partially inspired by how I often just decide to start feeding other team when they're obviously all super meta tryhards

    it's entirely possible to focus objective and feed and it's the only thing I can do to stop myself from taking the game too seriously...here you are, you've queued to *** dps and generally enjoy the super generic build you've scrapped together and here I am ready to die because it's the only thing easier than shitting dps in this game

    IMO casting an execute should remove cc invuln on the caster to at least give me a fleeting chance at escape
    obviously on top of a passive reduction to snare efficacy

    by the time I've cleared the root stun and snare my vigor has been down for a few seconds which is guaranteed death
    also this thread is almost entirely limited to bg which i have been spamming for a long time because equal numbers, zero sustain is sometimes preferable to incredibly lagged zergballfest

    it's like you want me to dodgeroll, break 3 forms of cc and cast vigor and still sprint 100 meters in less than the time it takes 3 ppl freecasting to get me below 50% hp where they can use execute...while avoiding terrain that is practically included under the umbrella of snare...and ofc I need to refresh forward momentum every 4 seconds if I make it past 3 somehow and at 5 seconds I need to refresh vigor

    and there's spammable gapclose allowing players to gapclose hit heavy, weave in a ranged attack (every offensive pvper has a ranged attack I'm sure) and then gapclose again as they please

    my incredibly abused stamina at this point is just a bonus pool for them to gapclose on
