What skill lines for Necromancer?

Some days to speculate yet since we know the basis ... until they announce it, or further datamine comes.

Let's tell how you would like the future class to be themed!

As I see it:

- Bone Puppeteer : the core theme from the Worm Cult and Mannimarco!

Corpses, zombies and skeletons as minions. I hope they'll be temporary (only summonable during fight), that will avoid immersion breaks in cities.
Bone spinning spells (like the current Undauntables line shield), that could deal damage and of course tank.

- Plague Doctor : "sidekick theme" from Peryite and the Sloads.

Diseases, poisons, miasma, purulance! Contaminated flesh. Boiling witch pots.
You can become some kind of ill medic or mad scientist. That would work as Stam morphs too.
(It could somehow relate to stam morphs of the DK.)
Skills for DPS and disgusting healing.

- Soul Weaver : spiritism (the original real life fantasy for necromancy), defiling powers from Oblivion!

A "lighter", softer skill line, that would enjoy the manics also.
Talk to the dead. Deal with them. Bargain souls. Gotta catch'em all!!
Using blue-green magic spells, creatia... Soul gems (a bit like the world/vestige "Soul Line" but further).
Skills for healers and DPS.

Some people expect blood magic line. I think it is already taken by Nightblade Siphon and by the Vampire... isn't it?

    Imagine an ability that reanimates corpses of enemies you've killed to fight by your side for X amount of seconds. (The idea of reanimating an entire zerg in Cyrodiil is already making my frame rate drop)

    Would be cool though!

    Can certainly speculate on the reactions to adding a new class no need to wait for PTS for that.

    OP. Broken. Pay 2 Win. X skill is too strong. X passive is too strong. I can't kill Necromancer in PvP/BGs please nerf. This Necromancer is not like the Necromancer in X game I hate it. Why does Necromancer have X but Sorcerer doesn't have Y. The end is nigh. PvP still isn't fixed.

    But no one is saying "I'm going to send 100k gold to @Chicharron this" and "I'm going to send a Crown Store Gift to @Chicharron that".

    IMO necro should be getting the cold damage dealing spell line, not Warden. I feel ice doesn't go with the a nature loving, healing warden. Ice brings death, not life.

    Honestly. Most people are either not excited or crying cause a new class is being added. We all know performance issues are a thing but they complain about classes not being balanced when in reality they really arent too bad. People are just mad their favorite class isn't top dps

    Reanimation/Undead summoning Skill line.
    This skill line centers around summoning and buffing undead/zombies/skeletons. Both temporary pets and permanent ones.

    -Something like summoning a bloated zombie that rushes a target(s) and explodes dealing defile or disease damage or debuffing a group of enemies.
    -And summoning a permanent skeleton that can be morphed into either a range (magic or bow) or melee.
    -Or a summon a zombie that has two morphs as well; range (projectile vomit) or melee.
    -Could also have that power that npcs use that channels into your pet and buffs their damage and resistance.
    -Ultimate could be summon a temporary flesh or bone atronach (depending on morph).

    It would also be cool to be able to rez a team mate instantly but on a long cool down as to not be exploited in pvp.

    They could even go a step further and create a monster set that temporally summons either a pack of zombies or an flesh atronach for a few secs that's triggered by damage dealt.

    Other skill lines could be a Coldfire skill line (blue flames for the win) that buffs the group and provides utility or debuffs a target. This skill line could get that giant blue flaming skull hand the npcs use to immobilize.

    A Death and Decay skil line could focus on healing and debuffs, perfect for a necromancer healer.

    One thing is for sure.


    One skill line is going to be aimed at dealing damage, but it's gonna be used primarily by tanks and healers.

    One skill line is going to be aimed at tanking, but chances are it'll never be used for anything or will be absolutely OP on healers and DDs.

    I see necromancer just like conjuration spell from Oblivion. Summon weapons to buff light attacks, like elem.weapon :D And buff block cost/resources pool like bound aegis.
    Sorcerer is the main pet user.

    Yea I think they tried to make me (The rp druid guy) and you the frost mage happy at once even if it meant a strange mix.

    Edit: Oh and thanks for making me research what av mafre nagaia (Frost) was lol. I learn something new everday!

    I really hope it's not a zookeeper class, but rather focused on temporary summoning, buffs/debuffs, life drains, curses, dot dmg, etc. There are a lot of potential options, so I really don't want ZOS to go for the lazy double-bar perma pet route (like the dumb sorc pets).

    Something like an insta-res ult that you could use on dead teammates would be really useful for all sorts of content and is something we don't currently have in game, for example.

    It´s gonna be the 2 remaining damage types that don´t have a class...

    All the Necromancer´s damage skills are going to deal disease damage (with +200% chance to apply major defile through passive 'PvP degeneration') and oblivion damage! :)

    I imagine some summing spells, life steal elements, and some OP buff that only necromancers will get. Idea for an ultimate: (165 ultimate)Necrotic Focus: Embue your body with dark magic increasing your overall dmg by 25% for 15 seconds. Any enemies killed while active increase the time by 1 second for a maximum of 10 seconds
    Morphs:
    Ascension: while active you gain minor life steal and minor vitality while active
    Descencion: your light attacks deal 1250 oblivion dmg while active

    (666 ultimate)Gate to Oblivion: temporary opens a dolmen passage for the armies of Molag Bol for 1 minute: spawns dark forces that attack all enemies within a 28 meter area

    Morphs: Sacrificial Gate: heals allies in the affected area for X health

    Hells Gate: when an enemy iskilled in the Gate, dark forces gain X% dmg for 10 seconds

    Yeah most people find it logical there's a line for plague / disease, a line for minions / bones (what you call "necromancy" in your mind I bet :D )
    I think something of the flavor would miss if the third line is not about the souls, spirits, wraiths and so on.

    At least you'r admitting it'll be like that. It just frustrates me people have to be like that.. oh well

    To OP - I like the ideas you thought up, they could really work I recon!

    The thing is, this late in the development, they'v already decided, so you can't change what they'll make as to say, but more speculate on what they HAVE made ;)

    And thats also a hint to all the 'please make it a skill line', its already been made, they can't change it now even if the whole community begged for it :neutral: I wanted the class anyways >:)

    3 death magic all oblivion damage skills cause they want u to buy the chapter :)

    Undead animation (summoning= dps+tanking)

    Black magic (dd, leeching, healing)

    Etherealism (cc and utility)

    oh plz. we all know. it will be 3 line. since they into lets make all class into everything. there will be a tank line, a healing line and a dps one. but. all will be useless as on the wardens. wardens right now not good enough for tanking, not good enough for dps. but perfect for healer. as dps you can be okay but still have a lot issues. also the numbers wont be an nb numbers.
