    Flesh: Tank
    Bone: DPS

I foresee the necromancer having a few of the strange abilities that you see NPCs cast:

    1. There's a single target fear ability (I believe it's a shadowy red skull that they cast at you)
    2. There's the translucent green hand that comes out of the ground to hard CC you.
    3. There's the shadowy black ground effect that snares/DOTs you while skeleton arms claw at you.
    4. There's the group of skeletons that pop out of the hand and rush at you.

Fight a few World Bosses in Reapers March and you'll see the abilities. Reapers Henge and Ushmal's Rest are two of the World Bosses with those abilities.
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

There wouldn't be enought theme difference with Sorcerer if so... Or there'd be a Sorc skill rework and current Sorcs will complain (above all if they don't buy the Chapter to play Necro)

"Blood" is already used a theme in the Nightblade tuto and in effects, that's why I doubt it would happen for Necros
Bone can tank (Bone already tanks thanks to the Undauntable shield)
Flesh can DPS if rotten, and heal if grafted.
Anyway that would be a shame to forget the Spirit magics or pets

I agree this type of NPC have no PC equivalent yet.

The NPC shamans were somehow given to Warden (Diving spirit) but their totems are still missing to us. Maybe the Spirit Line of Necro should have a Totem skill

I'll just post the thread I made a few years ago Necromancer class idea 1.6

I'll probably write up a full post when we learn more about what they intend for the class but it'll be fairly similar in theme.

    Oh that's easy:

    1. Release day: totally OP in right hands. Clunky as hell.
    2. Patch one: few players make it work and scream OP
    3. Patch two: tweaks, tweaks, tweaks. Few players still crying OP
    4. Patch four: more tweaks - still OP in hands of 24/7 players
    5. Patch five: absolute and complete nerf of the class into the ground
    6. Dry season: spin-to-win stamancer zergs
    7. More spin-to-win...

    There you go.

The blood theme is hardly if at all represented in the NB. Funnel health is the only spell and only becuase it happens to have a red streak to it. Nbs are entirely about extracting and saping life force in regards to healing. There is nothing physical or corporeal about it.

I can see the confusion though.

    My say is this

    Bone- tank/ summons/control
    Spirit- heal/ dps
    Disease- debuff/dps
    Blood- heal/ dos

The thing with blood magic is this. Nightblade only has one skill based on blood magic...necromancers are the dark magi of eso universe, even more shunned than daedric worshipers/ summoners. Could go either way. I do however see them removing disease as a physical damage...although they could easily incorporate disease into stamina for the necro. Another thing that could go either way. Most likely if they choose spirit and disease as trees, disease will be healing and stamina DPS while spirit will be healing and magic DPs...

Just opinions based on necromancy from mythology IRL and in other very popular games with necromancy.

I have been really trying to not overthink it, but I would love to have multiple skills that deny health, poison, plague, and annoy/murder your enemies in other similar ways lol. I can't wait to see what we will actually be able to do with the class.

I'm hoping expecting something along these lines:

    Frozen Mourn
This is the DPS-focused skill line. Frost damage for magicka users and Disease damage for Stam morphs.

    Blighted Souls
The Healing skill line that utilises umbral soul magic to restore life forces. I see this as the antithesis of the Templar's Restoring Light. I can see a magicka version of Repentance, a corrupted version of Cleansing Ritual that places an DoT on enemies and reduces healing efficacy.

    Grave Whisperer
I see the 'animating dead' theme being useful for the tanking skill line. Call forth corpses from the grave the immobilise your enemies in place! (six pairs of skeletal hands burst from the ground and grasp your enemies). Summon a vengeful spirit to push/pull enemies toward you. Summon corpses to take projectile hits for you.

I really care about the coming NEC tank skill line.

Im getting tried with those DK and Warden tanks in PVE, end game builds, immortal builds, blah blah blah.

Zos, please provide one more choice, thank you.

Some days to speculate yet since we know the basis ... until they announce it, or further datamine comes.

Let's tell how you would like the future class to be themed!

    As I see it:

    - Bone Puppeteer : the core theme from the Worm Cult and Mannimarco!

Corpses, zombies and skeletons as minions. I hope they'll be temporary (only summonable during fight), that will avoid immersion breaks in cities.
Bone spinning spells (like the current Undauntables line shield), that could deal damage and of course tank.

    - Plague Doctor : "sidekick theme" from Peryite and the Sloads.

Diseases, poisons, miasma, purulance! Contaminated flesh. Boiling witch pots.
You can become some kind of ill medic or mad scientist. That would work as Stam morphs too.
(It could somehow relate to stam morphs of the DK.)
Skills for DPS and disgusting healing.

    - Soul Weaver : spiritism (the original real life fantasy for necromancy), defiling powers from Oblivion!

A "lighter", softer skill line, that would enjoy the manics also.
Talk to the dead. Deal with them. Bargain souls. Gotta catch'em all!!
Using blue-green magic spells, creatia... Soul gems (a bit like the world/vestige "Soul Line" but further).
    Skills for healers and DPS.
    _

Some people expect blood magic line. I think it is already taken by Nightblade Siphon and by the Vampire... isn't it?

    this would be badass

I don't expect much honestly. 1-2 summons at best with some thematically named, but otherwise generic, spells throughout the skill lines that are just similar to current available skills with a different shade of color. Shot, I can see them removing Bone Shield and Blood Altar from Undaunted to shove them into Necromancer just because they sound like skills a Necromancer would have (I still hold to the theory that the Undaunted skill line was the remaining Necromancer, and probably Warden, Skills that couldn't be fully merged into the 4 base classes and just thrown into the Undaunted to make use of those assets since they were already done).
