Should Overload Be Changed? And How Should It Be Changed? (non biased poll)

There are a lot of mixed opinions about Overload and many people are unhappy with its current state. I would like to gather some opinions and discuss whether Overload should be changed and how it should be changed.

In my opinion the Overload third bar should return on one morph and the other should be adjusted. If the third bar is not to return then I think the issue of sorcerer bar space should be addressed, possibly by having pets require only one slot. I also think that the issue of lacking stamsorc abilities and passives would need to be addressed if this is the case.

I think I am ok without the 3rd bar. For me at least, the 3rd bar was jarring. At the same time, being able to drop a meteor while in overload was pretty nice.

What I do think needs to happen is the damage needs to be increased. It was way over-nerfed for the number of counters against it. It also needs to be made unreflectable (as does the bow ult). No ultimate should be able to be that hard countered. And it is only 1 of 2 ultimates that can be reflected. Absord, yes, blocked, yes, dodged, yes, but reflected, no.

Also, I think the heavy attack version is a bit underwhelming and not that useful. I think it would benefit from acting similar to the lightning staff heavy attacks, but in a chain lightning sort of way. So it connects to a target within a certain range, and any enemies within like 4 meters of eachother get the attack chained to them. Put a target cap of like 10, to prevent a player from chaining an entire keep. Perhaps change the morphs and make this one of the morphs and remove the heavy attack option from the other morph.

An unbiased poll does not start off creating bias by stating an opinion on the matter. Just FYI.

Also, the pet build is pretty strong taking away much of any justification of changing pets to use only one slot. One really has to look at the big picture on those issues. Want pets to use only one slot, get ready to have their damage nerfed. It is really obvious.

By unbiased I meant that the poll has choices fair to people of all opinions on the topic. Of course I am going to leave my opinion since I am simply another player with an opinion and I have just as much right to voice it as you do. Thank you for your opinion.

For me overload is a sort of "legacy ult". Use it to remember old times when it wasnt so worthless.

Nowadays even its utility function (3rd bar) has been removed

Are people STILL crying over that third bar? Here's what actually needs to be fixed:

1) Overload should NOT be reflectable... it's an ULTIMATE!

2) Power morph needs to deal more damage.

3) Travel time or projectile needs to be faster.

4) Overload needs to work properly with Elemental Weapon.

5) Transition to Overload mode needs to be faster.

You guys need to give up on the third bar. It's never coming back. Bar space problems of Sorcs need to addressed PROPERLY, not with gimmicks and hacks! For example, how about channeling your energy into asking ZOS for something reasonable, like pet toggles that only take up one bar?

This - on all counts. Oh, and pop the limit back up to 1000 too.

The third bar was very useful. I didn't use it much because I found it quite slow/clunky with my already laggy game. But I would love it back with a smoother animation.

Sorc has bar space issues and overload helped with that, I know for me I really hate having to slot bound armements on both bars and that's even more important now due to sustain nerfs.

If no 3rd bar then it needs a decent buff imo, it's a very weak ult. I haven't seven seen anyone use it.

in that case I think one morph would need to be physical dmg. don't forget stamsorc is a thing and they now have no offensive class ultimate worth slotting.

3rd bar for me tbh easier to get done as a realistic goal.

My main issue is they knew sorcs had bar space issues yet did nothing in that patch where they nerf and remove the 3rd bar off overload. That entire patch was someone with actual hate towards the entire sorc class if the community had no out cry we were also going to get 1 second cast shields and a super nerfed dark deal. Not a single thing was done for stam sorcs on a class level either. The only positive things that came from that horrible patch for sorcs were cost reductions on pets and prey which barely do anything and a crystal frags damage bump which came after multiple pts patches sort of as a we "have to look good" statement.

Overload is fine how it is.

I meant to vote that it should be completely changed or the current version needs a rework. The third bar was extremely clunky, but overload is still generally not worth using in its current form either. Sorc just needs a big rework to fix our bar space issue, that way there won't be a need for a 3rd bar in the first place.

It's terrible how it is

Combined with ward changes to need boundless etc bar space is wretched now and was bad before.

Gone is our gank option (still sealed than snipe)
Gone is bar space
Clunky to get in / out of. Ir should be auto activated at least if remains the same
