This topic was created before the announcement. Now we know: Necromancer is a Class.

ZOS, I hope it's the last Class! There is no need for another.

Bard? Guild Skill Line (Bards College)
Battlemage? Weapon Skill Line.
Monk? Weapon Skill Line (Unarmed)
Etc.

Nope. I want a CLASS. Not 5-6 skills and a few passives. I'm tired of Sorcs, Templars, NBs, DKs. I did NOT enjoy Warden at all.

    Let me have nice things.

That's why there are new Skill Lines! You stop being what you are today without having to create a new character!

And ZOS need not only create 5 active skills and 5 passive skills. It can be 10, or 15 as long as it's a skill line.

No. Class. Skill lines are notorious for being worthless. Look at all the advised builds for all of the classes and hardly no abilities from new skill lines are recommended because they're too weak.

@joaaocaampos That is a terrible idea. If new skill lines are to replace my class skills.... then everyone is the same. Because everyone is using the same skills.

More classes means more diversity, rather than everyone running the same BiS skills, regardless of class.

Dragonknights are Dragonknights, Templars are Templars, Sorcerers are Sorcerers, Nightblades are Nightblades, Wardens are Wardens. Necromancers should be Nercromancers.

More diversity is good. Less diversity than what we currently have can only be bad.

Personally I want a class more than a skill line.

Skill line will end up the same as other guild ones, you choose one skill which is good for your build and the rest is ignored.

I want a class not skill line. You end up using maybe 1 of the handful of skills which is pretty underwhelming and if the Psyjic Skill line is anything to go by, levelling it consists of a boring grind finding *** portals for hours on end, even with the add-on that speeds the process up its boring as hell.

Not like imploring then to change it now is going to change anything. They don’t listen to feedback during PTS cycles let alone any other time. If it’s a class they want, it’s a class we’ll get.

Agreed. Don't care to explain why, the masses have already spoken and got what they want.

I'm tired of skill lines, dude...The Psijic skill line was so boring to level and so were the other ones...

New class, new characters, new combinations.
    That's what I like and that's what I want.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

There are slots for 5 skills and 1 ultimate per weapon. You don't use all of the Class skills.

I hope when Spellcrafting comes out, we will not have any more Classes.

Skill line please! We alreayd have one class that's gimped in PvE. Necro skill line would be fine. If there's a necromancer class and it ends up being more PvE viable than Warden... well... I think you have my stapler.

Leveling up a new character from lvl 3 to 50 is so fun, right? All because of 3 skill lines.

What new combinations? There's nothing to combine.
What role is your Necromancer going to fill that other classes can't right now? I guarantee your stamina Necromancer will run dw/bow and your magicka Necromancer destro/destro, and one of the few meta gear sets. Adding a new weapon for example would allow fo more new combinations than a new class ever could.

And my necromancer won't exist because I don't have any more char slots so all those 3 skill lines are useless to me, even if I wanted to abandon my other chars and level a new one.

IM BORED OF SKILL LINES - 'here's five abilities and an Ultimate, see how you can cram it into your build - enjoy'

I want a whole new play style, something I can look at and sink my teeth into. Something where I can find the broken abilities and abuse them, where I can role-play as something else, something where I can create 3 separate builds all varying in their abilities.

A skill line is not enough. I want and I think the community needs a larger umph this time!

Thank you ZoS, you answered our calls! x

I mean, what id really want is to say goodbye to classes as a whole and an introduction to some other system that limits your choice still, like maybe you can only use 3 "class" skill lines at a time still but you pick whichever ones you want.

Classes feel so wrong for this game since its started to go more and more into the legit "anyone can be anything" angle. Personally I struggle to play some classes because as a warden main im now so attached to having dedicated self healing abilities from green balance.

True but class skills are still locked to a class and in theory making that class feel special.

Guild skills are "this is best for mag/stam builds, slot it" and ignore the rest. Almost everyone runs it.

lol, there is diversity with Class,

Seems like you just want ESO to die cold death.

1 x Skills line are not adding much to the chapter with all big bucks everyone paying for,

Necromancer as Class is a perfect decision.

Anyone should be able to be anything. Real diversity comes from real choices in builds, limiting those choices limits diversity.

When a lot of different playstyles are made ACTUALLY endgame viable then a lot of different playstyles will exist. I guarantee it would be superior to what we have now with every stam dps having bow and every mag dps having destro staff.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

Well I havent played ESO since Summerset isle drop and haven't completed it either. One thing I got from this game is that this genre is not for me to enjoy.I was hyped for the next chapter even though I am not playing this game for a glimmer of hope. But it died as soon as they announced a class and people started praising it.
Well I guess different strokes for different folks.
I am only hyped about Outer worlds now even though I much prefer medieval fantasy especially TES.Hopw BGS come back to the track with SF and TES VI. :,(

Yup, you' right, because I'm all about the new class.

All I see is opportunity with the makeup of this class, and all the different abilities and builds I can make.

Im excited for Elsweyer, don't get me wrong, but the class was the real present for me!

I think everyone is looking forward to TES VI though ;)
