Everyone must pvp to get berries?

Um. The first event is for the first berry color? And it's pvp? Tell me I am wrong.
I love pvp and Vivec cannot cope now, let alone with event (although yay) and now everyone who wants the new mount color will also be there?
Tell me I am wrong pretty please.

Any ideas how this will work?

The four events are:

Midyear Mayhem (In January!) – Dawnwood Berries of Bloom

Morrowind Celebration – Dawnwood Berries of Budding

Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood Celebration – Dawnwood Berries of Growth

Jester’s Festival – Dawnwood Berries of Ripeness

So it looks like only the first event (Midyear Mayhem) is PvP. Since I already have 10 event tickets from the New Life Festival, I'm thinking I should be able to buy the Berries of Bloom without actually doing any nasty PvP.

Er..... I saved up during previous events, got the fourth feather on Undaunted opening day. And after New Life, I have 12 tickets. So, unless ZOS does something totally stupid, I'll be able to get the berry as soon as the pvp event starts.

Regardless, if ZOS does that something stupid.... well, I'm perfectly happy with the nascent indrik for my bosmer wild-child warden, so.... if it doesn't get evolved into the Dawnwood one *shrug*. Don't care.

I will NOT pvp for ANYTHING. I despise pvp, I did pvp in WoW and that was a decade ago. I hate the entire premise, and I'm not ever going to bother with it again.

If its like it is on the PTS, getting an Event Ticket through the Midyear Mayhem Event will require you to do a Cyrodiil Board Quest or a Town Daily Quest. That may change - we dont have the Official Announcement yet.

Now, technically, some of those can be accomplished without PVP, however, they all take place in a PVP-enabled zone and there is no safe conduct for questers, so chances are that you will have to PVP or be attacked by another player.

Your best bet for minimal PVP is to go to one of the new campaigns ZOS'll open as those are usually emptier and do a town quest (bring invisibility pots to better avoid enemy players) or do a capture a resource quest as those can be soloed with some practice. Neither of those require fighting other Players, but other players may drop in and fight you so you are not guaranteed a safe quest and I urge you to prepare for PVP.

While true, that means also even worse pvp perfomance and hordes of clueless people that don't even defend themselves. It's not gonna be any fun for anyone. PvP should be about quality, not quantity.

Issue is some ppl cant pvp due to how stressful it tends to be. Vs pve that is fairly laid back.

Some people can't PvE because of how boring it is by that logic. Unless you're talking about end-game content like vet trials, which can easily be more stressful than PvP.

Not true. Some of the most stressful times in this game have been PvE for me. I play both aspects of the game, but vMoL progression had me far more stressed than anything in ESO ever has or will. PvP is a cakewalk compared to that.

See, I can throw out anecdotal evidence too..

Don't know why these things always turn into a PvP vs. PvE debate. Join...don't join...I personally don't care.

Vivec will be pop locked with people rubberbanding to stay in on 5 hour breaks, and pve ppl who aren't smart enough to go to one of the new campaigns they open for the event. I'll be relentlessly killing the latter.

OP is a PvPer who loves PvP. This is not even what they're talking about.

Yes, performance is going to be absolute crap. It's going to suck for everyone but especially people without great connections. Hopefully the majority of non-PvPers will stay in BG.

Just do a scouting mission on the least populated server. Even if you have to run from one side to the other, should take less then 10 minuets.

However, you probably do not need to PvP. If the next 4 events are like the last 4 events then there is no need. The last 4 events gave us 8 ticket opportunities.

I don't mind this. Honestly these events are opening me to new avenues to play and enjoy the game. Depending on what needs to be done for it, it might not even taken very long.

Also, I have a character or two that needs to gain some mad PVP ranks for furniture...

Really? When i was a new player all people did was *** about no dps..in normal dungeons so i went to pvp and instead of throwing a fit they actually taught me how to play

So no pve isn’t laid back, I’m cp 644 now but I’ll never touch pve again, event or not

I don't get the negativity that spreads with events and free stuff....

Or these PvP v PvE *** for tat debates. We all like what we like, end of story. Each to their own.

As for the sky falling PvPers, get out of Vivec. Sure the zergs lag there, but with pop on the decent campaigns there are great fights there during an event. Players behaviour is half the problem in pvp, if we spread out Its a better experience

Unless ZOS has a secret patch to fix PVP, it's an insanely bad idea akin to the group finder event with a broken group finder.

Cyrodiil doesn't work properly during the best of times. It's crazy to subject casual players to what will largely be a very bad experience if for no other reasons than lag and disconnects.

ZOS must be run by bureaucrats without a clue about what's actually happening in-game.

Its going to be so laggy it wont even matter, everyone will b e running 24 person groups and whoever doesn't disconnect will get the AP. Im just saying that Vivec lags horribly on off hours with 3 bars. Think about pop locked at prime-time with Shor and Sotha full up too.
