As such, next year’s story and adventure will be something truly special for all Elder Scrolls Online players. We are so excited to be able to share it with you soon, and we can’t wait to see how you all put all the pieces together starting early next year.
It got me excited. What will it be? I so hope Solstheim and Dagon Fell. Or more Skyrim or Hammerfell.
Maybe it'll be Elsweyr and the "something truly special" will be different khajiit forms and breeds?
According to the hints, Elsweyr.
@Revokus regardless of opinions, there has been a lot of hints towards Elsweyr through various NPCs (They're spoilers, so search them up or play the game, but you can find these hints in Summerset and Murkmire).
I'm personally no huge Khajiit fan myself (I would much prefer Redguards, the Reach or even more of a Black Marsh particularly the parts which look akin to the beaches of Florida all-tropical like), but Elsweyr seems to be the biggest hint as of late.
Also a TES game set in Akavir would- for the lack of a better word -be very dumb. Akavir is very boring (the races in Akavir are interesting though) and by bringing TES to that area, you ruin the mystery their land upholds.

(so many hints)
- The Elder Scrolls Online : The Pyandonea
(opportunity to introduce the 11th playable race : Maormer, and there's a crown store skin that was never released yet, also)
- The Elder Scrolls Online : The Reach (because why not)
- The Elder Scrolls Online : The Niben
And the article before Xmas implied with it being 5th anniversary, it will be a big one. So .... No.

Sorry but I don’t think Elsweyr is something truly special for all elder scrolls players..at least not more so than any other zone. Not all players are khajiit fans.

Has to be better then more swamps and lizards
Nothing is for certain yet. Datamined info is low right now.
There are some Datamined Baandari crown crates and 2 Seasons of "Crown Crate Classics/Greatest Hits" crown crates, as well as a couple Elsweyr assets. There's several mentions of Elsweyr in dialogue in Murkmire.
However, there's also the Riverwood Hen crown store pet that has a background that looks like Riverwood in ESO is already made, and I hear recently (within the past few updates), the area around Winterhold has a line around it now if you go out of bounds, which could indicate it being a zone separate from Skyrim?

Murkmire Elsweyr name drops:Many places, though I spent most of my years in the friendly cities of Elsweyr. It was there that the name Hands-That-Heal was gifted to me, due to my magical skill.\n\nAnd then, after many long years, I made the choice to come home."
"Kazrala may not have a lifetime, but … it would be quite the thing to learn, no? An amusing trick to bring back to Elsweyr, if nothing else.\n\nHmm. This one will keep trying."
"I may be used to handling dirty items, but it seems every inch of Murkmire is covered in mud. If only I could return to Elsweyr ….\n\nOf course, I would be executed immediately if I did. So it is a life of swamps for me."
"In Elsweyr, I was a philosopher. In Murkmire, I am a fisher. These professions are not too different though, no? Still I stand for long hours with nothing but my thoughts."
"Clean up this mess! This isn't Elsweyr, you know."
"We were business associates. I would buy her saltrice crop and sell it in far-off Senchal. The cats like to put moon-sugar on it.\n\nWhen Keema-Ru fell on hard times, I offered a loan. Unfortunately, she died before it could be repaid."

Kai Schober revealed the next chapter starts with "The".
If it doesn't mean that it would be "The Elder Scrolls: "Smth here"", seems to be that we will see one of two daedric planes The Fields of Regret of Clavicus Vile or The Pits of Peryite, cause i don't remember any tamriel land that needs "the" before naming.
When you help Raz in Summerset, he mentions Elsweyr.
Seems like it will be Elsewyr and it will be nice to see other forms of cat people; u know they born in different forms according to moon phases. But i wonder more the Q1 update. Because it's always a base game update and comes with new special things. Homestead and Outfit system both were Q1 update. So what is coming now?
TES 6 is far ahead, so far ahead I don't think it would be relevant outside of some cooperation as in an better fit than in Morrowind and plenty of Easter eggs like visiting an old dungeon or finding an huge statue you managed to break during an quest and your TES 6 follower say, wonder who was clumsy enough to break thatFata1moose wrote: »It won't be Hammerfell since Elder Scrolls VI is going to be set there. Zenimax will want the Hammerfell map to match up closely with the mainline game, Of course they already screwed up lore by leaving out the Totambu Rainforest, Tigonus Swamp, Helkori Steppe and added in Hew's Bane. I still think they'll want to look as close to TES VI as possible. So we'll get the rest of Hmmerfell after TES VI launches so Elsweyr, Skyrim, Cyrodiil and Black Marsh will all get filled out first.
