Best mouse to use

I currently have a g600. I got it due to the sheer number of abilities in swtor. Now this game feels like it could be done with many less keys. So I'm wondering what mouses people are using and his they are getting on with them.

I thinking a razar naga hex may be the best option. Has anyone used this mouse with this game?

I use a standard 6 button mouse and standard keyboard. They're more than enough. The interface is ridiculously simplified for controllers.

Having overplayed computer games I now have RSI at times. This means I have to limit my mouse use. I use a mouse emulator to remain keyboard based for this game. Just letting you know that is also an option

Seconded, been using it for a year now and it's perfect. You can make game-specific profiles for binding mouse buttons, adjust the weight of the mouse, swap out the palm rest, adjust the sensitivity on the fly; all in all it's just a nice mouse.

I used to be all about razer but I've come to the conclusion that expensive does not equal good build quality. All of the headsets I've had fell apart, same with my old mamba; the rubber side grips are stuck on with glue, so after a time they start to move/fall off, leaving two sticky patches either side of the mouse.

    Anyway, MMO7 ftw.

Mmo 7 works great I have a rat 9 as well but I'm liking the 7 better for this game. My keyboard is the ducky shine 3.

maybe not need, but it gives you an extra edge, especially in pvp

My go-to mouse for ALL gaming is a simple Logitech Marathon mouse.

    1) they last forever, very sturdy

    2) they have some good weight to them, making them more comfortable to use IMO

    3) They have a smooth scroll setting toggled with a button right below the scroll wheel. This isn't good for gaming, but I find myself using it all the time for browsing or other tasks.

    4) 2 side buttons, great for keybindings, and not as crazy as having that crazy naga mouse with 9 buttons which I find inconvenient.

    5) Wireless

I have bought at least 4 of these (used them many years across 2 computers) and I love them. You can find them pretty cheap too, and they go on sale often.

The mouse I use is a Sharkk wireless 9-button. It works great as the 3 buttons along the left side are automatically bound to ALT, Shift, and CTRL so helps keep my keyboard hand free for everything else.

Honestly I love it. I use it for every game. I used in when i played wow and with keybindings i just set it to where 1-6 was normal then i would hold shift and would have 7-12. In ESO I have my usual 1-5 and my 6 button is what I hit for a dodge if needed. Top two buttons behind the scroll wheel I have a keybind to my map and the other to mount my horse.

I prefer this mouse because I have fairly large thumbs and I didnt want something with small buttons that i would smash multiple abilities accidentally. The one thing that I did have to change though was the 4 and 6 button cause it wasnt a complete circle how I wanted it but the Razer software that you download for the mouse will allow you to change it in whatever way you want.

Link to mouse if interested still from the Razer website.

I use a Razor Naga of which I only use 1 - 5 and a Logitech G13. It all comes down to what you like best, there is no perfect setup.

I use a trackball mouse. No need for a mousepad, and it's easier on the wrist. Can use it sitting across the room from the PC even.

Whatever is most comfortable for you. I have the G600 and love it. I had a Razor Naga and hated it, it never felt right in my hand.
  • pllenadob14a_ESO
I have the Logitech G13 on my left hand (only set combat ability keys on it and set those keys to where my fingertips comfortably touch - as my left thumb sits on the joystick). The buttons next to the joystick are bound to Dodge and Quickslot. I have my right hand on a Logitech G502 "awesome" mouse with Bash, Synergy, Ultimate, Crouch, Auto-run, and Interact with Environment set to the side buttons and Jump set to the Wheel button. I could probably set more keys on either the G13 or G502 but I just use the regular keyboard for chatting and stationary activities. I have one macro set and to repeating 'R' for crafting. The G502 is also perfect for other games like FPS and CAD work.

Oh my, I had forgotten about this. I am actually using my G600, took a while to get used to it again, comming from a long break from MMO's. Works great though, only need the basic 18 buttons on it, as that covered everything.

Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse, I like to add weight to mice, can't stand mice that feel so light they might float away. It's only a few days old. It replaced a first gen G5 that I wore a hole in the cable.
