How about the slow group with weak dps and you are the healer knowing you doing the lions share of the damage, YET group gets salty as you going ahead on their slow butts.....
PUGs need classification.
- I'm a first timer
- I'm here to run slow
- I'm here to run fast on xp scroll
- I'm here for gear
Etc etc stop all the fights.
I"ll help up to a point.
If the DPS or heals (trust me, healers aren't innocent of this either) run ahead and start the fight without me I will still still run in and taunt things. I'm not one of those tanks who feels as if I always have to start the pull otherwise I have suffered some great wrong.
What I won't do though is run through pull after pull trying to do a "speed run". I had enough of that from Final Fantasy 14 and I'm not about to start doing that crap here. So I let the group know politely but firmly I'm not going to run through mobs. And if they have an issue with that - I"m more than happy to leave.
The problem is, it's not always the one who pulls that ends up tanking, the mobs run back and attack random people who did nothing wrong. If not for that fact, I would follow this philosophy, but as it is, I take over as soon as I get there.

Groupfinder = speedrunning for faster rewards.
Leveling group run = quest and clear, no matter time
Please stop mixing these. Stop begging for carries. If you want a slow run, make a full grp and que. The same as speedrunners do. We make a full grp in guilds and que for dungeon finder.
If you solo que, go with what you get and stop bitching.
But those are your definitions, you don’t get to make that choice for every groupfinder party you’re in. They could just as easily say to you “if you want a speedrun use your guilds. We want to loot every nook and cranny. You used the solo queue so go with what you got and quit bitching “.
People should play group activities to the group. If everyone is speedrunning you need to keep up. If everyone is lagging behind you, you should hang back and wait. If you need to do quest or an explanation of mechanics just ask. And if someone asks for quest or mechanics, don’t rush in and start the fight.

So unless you or someone in group is doing a quest, then there is no reason to play it slow. Always be respectful to the group dynamic though, so if someone is lagging behind then I slow down for them, so what if it takes an extra 5-10 mins, it is hardly a big deal.
Vet PUG - Tank dictates the speed, end of story. If they rush off like a monkey on speed, then that is their issue, im not gonna waste my stamina trying to keep up. When i do catch up then i will do what a tank does. But rest assured the fight would be much smoother if you just let a competent Tank dictate the fight and group things. In un-coordinated groups, Tanks seem to play the role of damage control more than anything else... oh look... the adds are all over the place, YAY! WTH, why on earth is the boss way over there?!... OH! i see you all wiped, LOL, watch me tank the boss solo for a few minutes before I actually decide to rez you... Oh i wiped too trying to rez you lot, whoops, nvm!
Normal (guild group) - i dont think i have ever done a random without it being a complete speed fest 4dd. Other than new alts that require quest. But no-one minds as it is through guild.
VET (Guild group) - there is an expectation that everyone is going to actually pay attention. I really do enjoy the times when the fights run smooth as it indicates everyone is pulling their weight, and challenging content can be enjoyed rather than being stressful.
TRIALS, ANY - Rushing ahead of tank... why on earth would you ever do this??????
"You pull it, you tank it" is selfness in my opinion.
We all have a job to do and agro is the tanks main job above all.
For the most part a lot of use have run the same dungeons many times. No point in stopping to smell the roses. If someone says they are doing the quest then yes I will slow down and let them do it, even if they want to listen/read and take time to enjoy the quest as it maybe their first time doing it. If not then it's all hell is out run like the devil is on my back.
I expect everyone to do their job they queued for.
You mean of course except you. You joined a group and you are suppose to act as a part of the group. Running ahead and beginning the fight before all the members of the group are there is not being a part of the group. In fact your actions can be detrimental to the group. A stamina based player running ahead often leaves a magicka based player alone dealing with mobs the stam based character ignored on the way to the next boss. People don't join groups to be your cheerleaders. They join to fight along side the rest of the group. Do the job you queued for and stay with the group.

Why should i try to stack the mess the people are doing? Emptying my ressources for a person that doesn't care about others?
It gets even worse when it's on a boss. Seriously, just solo this dungeon if you need no tank or healer.
Usually i just do the /sitchair emote or wait until the person is dead when they trigger the boss without anyone near them until i take the aggro again.
Call me arrogant, but this is no teamplay.
We are a team and when one person thinks they are better than the others i will let them feel how it is to be not.
Also i hate sprinting, depletes my stamin and rapids is not helpful, just annoying and telling me we are slow you stupidspeedrunningpersonyesiamlookingatyou
why is it so hard to wait one second so i can pull the mobs and stack them...
