This, also the event are great to get people who are afraid of PvP to try it out, some stays who is good for pvp.Sheezabeast wrote: »PVPers who don't enjoy PVE content deserve a chance to obtain event tickets too!
Lol, I used to be "scared" of PvP too, but had lots of fun and earned a million AP during the Midyear Mayhem. I'm looking forward to the event!
The uninformed should be told that there's lots of ways to earn alliance points, and you don't necessarily have to get into one on one brawls to be successful. You can run around healing your teammates and never once have to cast spells on or fight the enemy directly if you don't want to. You can repair walls and doors far away from the battle. Or you can use ballistas and trebuchets and bomb the enemy from hundreds of yards away. And you can cast special shields over your team's siege equipment to keep them from taking full damage. Plus there's enemy NPCs you can fight if you want to, instead of players. Or you can just stay out of the way and stand and watch from a distance, and be in the right place when your army takes over a resource and get points and XP.
Just try it! You may kick yourself for not trying it sooner and discovering the fun!

People who actually enjoy PvP TOLERATE Mid-Year Mayhem once a year in the HOPE that ZOS improved performance in a years time. It ain’t BEEN THAT LONG. ZOS cant even PRETEND that ESO has 99 problems and lag ain’t one lol.
For those who don’t pvp and don’t enjoy it, an extended mayhem event ain’t gonna change their minds.
Look, I get it, asking ZOS to improve the performance of their games is asking too much. Geeze, keep your events, just leave us to the lag.
Or fine, give us an extended PvP event but please please please don’t give us anything else. No more events til April maybe, and you can hold onto any new chapters or DLCS whi’ Ya at it.
Sometimes I wonder why I still PLAY this game lmao.

Performance in Cyrodill sucks. I PvP anyway. Now it’s gonna be worse, for an EVENT? I don’t have that mount, I don’t want that mount. I’m a star made knight. That’s the TITLE I WEAR EVERY DAY. Omg that event sucked. Come on ZOS CANCEL IT. NOBODY WANTS IT!
Pick a different campaign it’s that simple
I PLAYED A DIFFERENT CAMPAIGN. I don’t mind playing a different campaign ONCE A YEAR! If I HAVE to.
Now I have to suffer even MORE lag and play a different campaign because SOMEONE at ZOS thought having an extended PvP event would be fun for ANYBODY when performance in Cyrodill is crap. I’m stuck in a loading screen RIGHT NOW lol.
Imagine thinking everyone shares the exact same opinion as you..
As someone who PvPs specifically for the combat, always outnumbered, I have to say I am excited for the extra PvP event. While I'd rather have events that force people into PvP without creating extra lag (the anniversary event where people did the cyro town dailies, the tel var event where people went into IC where it doesn't lag), a pvp centric one is fine by me. Will I be going into vivec during this event? No, definitely not. Will the new campaigns be playable? Most likely. Will we see population in sotha sil for the first time since the last event? Definitely.
While I totally agree that zenimax needs to improve their servers and fix the fact that vivec is unplayable all the time, even outside AP events, there really is no point in holding out hope or avoiding PvP as a sort of "boycott". ZoS has proven to us that they will not invest any time or resources into PvP at this point in the game. It is not profitable for them to do so. The best we can really do is cancel our subs and play in less than optimal off campaigns, then take events like this as a blessing when they come. At least we'll see some fresh meat in playable scenarios in these extra campaigns that they add.
