Sets are pretty okay, only thing that really would help improve dps is practice on rotation.
Most players dont think about it but just throwing in "I know ani cancel and light attack weaving " doesnt prove anything.
Upload a video of you doing a 6m dummy parse and i guess our pve heroes will help you out to Improve it. Cause 35k dps is definitly possible with jul and mother sorrow .

Skills consist of: Bow proc, Merciless Resolve, Elemental Weapon/Impale, Siphoning Strikes, Ultimate
Note you can just repeat the first line of magblade rotation without much dps loss.
Note 2 you can also time from cripple expiring, rather than counting skills which is what I do.
Magblade has one of the harder rotations, takes a while to get used to it.

My rotation is kind of like the first one, except that my cripple is on the same bar with blockade and path.
Could you explain why the second one is so complicated?

My rotation is like this:
Pre-buff merciless resolve and siphoning attack, then
elemental blockade > twisting path > crippling grasp > swap weapon > spam funnel health/impale until merciless resolve bow proc > continue spamming until the dot runs out, then swap weapon and start again. Re-buff merciless resolve and siphoning every two rotations.

The second one is more complicated because it's dynamic, they are doing an extra swap just to refresh path when it's done, instead of refreshing it along with the other DOTs before it's finished (since it lasts more than cripple/WOE).Sets are pretty okay, only thing that really would help improve dps is practice on rotation.

Are you using elemental drain on the dummy? Do you get at least 2 bow procs per merciless cast? Looking at your LA % can help with knowing if your weaving is OK. Also, do you start with drinking a potion, and then casting ulti? I do the destro ulti first and then continue with soul harvest when it's up.
My magblade can barely pull around 23-25k dps with food buff, and around 27-30k with potions, while everybody else seems to be able to pull 40k+ dps with their eyes closed on a magblade. I see many ppl say that magblade is the dps king but why by the eight divines my stam dk TANK can pull more dps than my magblade with Hunding and Briarheart gears???
My set up mainly follows this Alcast build (please don’t laugh at me for using YouTube build): https://alcasthq.com/eso-magicka-nightblade-build-pve/
But I don’t have any trial gears or MA weapons. I use julianos + mother sorrow. All armor enchanted with Magicka. All jewelry enchanted with spell dmg. One staff with fire enchantment and the other with spell dmg enchantment. Both staves gold.
I know animations canceling, weave in light attacks but still don’t find my magblade anything better than my stam dk, let alone be the “dps king”. Please help.
Edited: I am cp640 now.

Yes I use elemental drain (and sometimes have my friend cast it) and have 2 bow procs per merciless. I start with drinking potion but don't have ulti ready every time.
LA percentage may be something worth checking. What is the baseline for it?
