Jump pvps everyday. Those of you coming in here telling him to switch campaigns need to learn. That's like telling someone who needs to run White Gold Tower to go run Imperial City. How about zos buckling down and fixing the terrible performance issues in Cyrodiil. No more excuses, no more, "we
we're looking into it", just fix it. Until then they should postpone any Cyrodiil events. Period point blank.
With all the PvE events we have throughout the year I find it entertaining someone complains about midyear mayhem. Geez.
It isn't entirely unreasonable considering the servers can barely handle the current pops within PVP. Throw at least 1.5x the pop at the servers, I'm going to be surprised if there isn't outright instance crashes every so often. The simple truth is the servers just cannot handle the event, so why hold it? At the least, why hold it in campaigns which are known to be laggy messes, ie Vivec?
Remember that the PVE events didn't exactly go over flawlessly, either.
So screw PvP as as a result? We see how it is. OP does not like PvP. He pretty much starts off those who "tolerate pvp" deal with this event.
But then again, your viewpoint may be can all events in the game. Then again, idk.
No events is better than Cyrodiil being unplayable. That's the OP's point.
At this point, I don't give a crap about PVP events, PVP DLC, or even balancing in PVP. What I give a crap about is an actually playable game. Server stability is absolutely abysmal. Performance issues are plaguing all active Cyrodiil campaigns, the game is riddled with bugs that adversely affect the game, certain skills are genuinely broken.
Events, DLC, balancing, all that doesn't matter if you can't play the game. Fix the bugs, fix the servers, then worry about the polish.
People who have become complacent with how the servers are running and just "move to another campaign" when the lag is unbearable... you're a part of the problem. Not saying I hate the event, but I can already tell it's going to be a painful one for those of us struggling to bar swap, skills going off 2-3 seconds late, and lagging near keeps with zergs. And no, it's not my internet connection.

Actually you might just be as part of the problem, performance in prime time Cyrodil is never going to be fixed, the only solution is splitting the player base in different campaigns to minimize lag, problem is everyone has that mindset of staying in Vivec and Vivec only and thats why many campaigns got removed and now we only have Shor that is dead af unless its weekend prime time. If more people were willing to leave Vivec there would be more populated servers with much less lag.

So you're saying we should just not play in Vivec because it already has enough players? Come back next time when it's not as populated? Why are we ok with this? I agree with you somewhat, it wouldn't make any sense to keep trying to play in Vivec when it's already at it's limit since it only punishes players (especially light/medium armored players). But clearly there is a glaring problem that needs to be fixed and everyone is acting like it's fine because they can just get by. I just don't understand why so many in this thread are ok with it.

Go and read all the replies in this thread, come back and apologise for being wrong and admit that you don’t speak for the community.
I can’t. The reasons people are giving for wanting an extended PvP event aren’t “I want an extended event because I like PvP.”
In that, I will admit that people might just n fact want an extended PvP event. Maybe they play for rewards. Maybe they want to evolve that mount. Maybe they Zerg and pvdoor and won’t notice the difference pvping on a dead campaign.
However, the only reason I still login to this game is because I LIKE the PvP. I WILL notice the difference. I DID NOT enjoy The Mid-Year Event because it made the only thing good (to me) even crappier than it is NORMALLY.
I didn’t do New Life and I don’t intend to do another event ever again. I just want to PvP in peace. Fix the servers. Geeze.

I didn’t do those PvE events. I DELETED what feathers I had. I pvped.
I don’t HAVE that mount. I don’t WANT that mount. I really ain’t gonna EVOLVE NOTHING.
I’m sick of events. I just want to PvP in peace.
AlboMalefica wrote: »There’s going to be more events I’m afraid, all due the mount and it’s evolutions. Only 1 new berry or feather introduced with each event and needing 4 berries/feathers to evolve or acquire the mount. With 4 evolved mounts and a base, the events will keep coming & coming

People who actually enjoy PvP TOLERATE Mid-Year Mayhem once a year in the HOPE that ZOS improved performance in a years time. It ain’t BEEN THAT LONG. ZOS cant even PRETEND that ESO has 99 problems and lag ain’t one lol.
For those who don’t pvp and don’t enjoy it, an extended mayhem event ain’t gonna change their minds.
Look, I get it, asking ZOS to improve the performance of their games is asking too much. Geeze, keep your events, just leave us to the lag.
Or fine, give us an extended PvP event but please please please don’t give us anything else. No more events til April maybe, and you can hold onto any new chapters or DLCS whi’ Ya at it.
Sometimes I wonder why I still PLAY this game lmao.
