You realise there is a way back to the start of the dungeon, right? So you can go back and do everything, right? Oh, no, ofcourse you don't. Also the event has been done for a few weeks, what are you people on about?
The best solution is stop putting random queuers in with people who are going for specifics
This bug has existed as long as the group finder so clearly they’re not interested in changing how it works. It helps groups that are incapable of a specific dungeon clear, or who don’t have the time to put toward a longer dungeon.
But as long as randoms get pulled into specific queued dungeons, then there’s two very different player types getting stuck in the same space, one type that is looking for a quick run for exp, and another that is after gear/pledge/dungeon quest.
These groups do not mesh well

ZOS considers it an exploit ... that’s all you need to know.

It’s not intended, but they also said they didn’t plan to punish it. Are they actually going to fix it? Because so far I haven’t seen hide nor hair of a fix going out

Not a high enough issue to hotfix ... but they’ve said it will be fixed in a future patch.
So...probably in 3-6 months if we’re optimistic...after which group finder will be non functional for probably another month
You’ll forgive me if I don’t have oodles of confidence in those sort of ETAs

Do this instead....
1. Get Undaunted Daily Pledges
2. Get a random dungeon group.
3. Instead of porting to FG1 port to dungeon is one of that days Undaunted Pledges.
4. get random reward and the Undaunted Daily reward.

Don’t use the dungeon finder if your intent is for a specific clear of FG1 ... pretty simple really. Run a pre-made group.
That way you’re not screwing over players that want to run the selected dungeon for their rewards.

I don’t do that so I don’t really care. With my connection, a load screen takes near as long as it takes to finish most dungeons so there’d hardly be a point
I love that during the Undaunted Festival all the threads about this were "it'll go back to normal soon, stop complaining, people have a lot of alts to run through dungeons in a day" and now it's still prevalent and people are still finding excuses for doing it.

I agree with @Linaleah: if you want to queue random for the XP but port to FG, DO IT WITH A PREFORMED GROUP. Or at least ask in the group when you arrive (ask, not say "port to FG and then go") and only if everyone agrees should you go. People that straight port should get kicked from group. And I'm usually one who doesn't kick.

Fixing this would lead to another exploit. I won't tell you which.

I mean, anyone who honestly thinks that the large number of those willing to exploit aren't also willing to push the exploit to its limits (to the point where a fairly benign exploit morphs into a system that punishes people for doing it right) should see me about a bridge I'm selling.
